Sunday (07.08.2011) evening took place the Teen Choice Awards 2011 ceremony. Taylor Swift was the big winner of the evening, she went home with six trophies.
Taylor Swift was winners in the categories: `Choice Music: Female Artist`, `Choice Music: Female Country Artist ‘and’ Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon ‘, among others.
Selena Gomez won three awards at the Teen Choice Awards 2011, at music category. Together with the band The Scene, Selena won a surfboard for` best group`, `the best love song ‘and best single’.
Paramore defeated the guys from 30 Seconds to Mars and won the trophy for ‘Rock Artist`.
Justin Bieber won the prize for ‘best artist’, while Bruno Mars won the one for debut.

Taylor Swift recently premiered the music video for her song “Sparks Fly”. Despite having her CDs and singles sell like hotcakes, the country singer delivered a very cheap visual for it. If “Sparks Fly” is going to close out her “Speak Now” era, it deserved a bigger effort and a better budget. The video is basically a compilation of footage from Taylor’s current “Speak Now” tour. But I have to say, the concert clip is a hundred times better than the “Fearless” video. I still want her to deliver some cool videos though and not just go the easy route.

Teen Choice Awards 2011 Gala will take place over 10 days, but the 21 years old singer Taylor Swift has already won an award.
The country artist will receive the distinction ‘Ultimate Choice Award’, in recognition to her outstanding contribution in the entertainment industry.
Swift follows in the footsteps of Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Reese Whitherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Serena Williams and Venus Williams, who received the same trophy in the past years.
Taylor will pick up the prize at the event that will take place on Sunday, on August 7th, but she’s more likely to go home with several important distinctions.
The singer is nominated in categories: Tour, Break-Up Song, Female Country Artist, Country Track, Love Song and Female Artist.
In the last section mentioned, Taylor is competing with Adele, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna.
The votes that will determine the winners in music, film, TV, sports and fashion will end on August 5, on the official site of Teen Choice Awards.

Taylor Swift has been feeling under the weather with a nasty throat illness which means that she’s in no shape to perform. A rep for the country singer released a statement on her Facebook saying “Just wanted to update you guys on Taylor’s health. She has bronchitis and although she is getting better, she has been advised by her doctor that she is not well enough to perform this week. Her concert dates in Charlotte and Atlanta have been rescheduled and she plans to resume the Speak Now tour in Montreal. Charlotte will now be November 16. Atlanta will now be October 1 & 2. Thank you for your concern!” It sucks for those eagerly awaiting her concert but Taylor needs to get better.

Could Chord Overstreet be the guy for Taylor Swift? The country singer’s little hockey date with the “Glee” actor seems to be turning into more as the two are said to be hitting it off. An insider said “Taylor reached out to Chord. After the [hockey game], Taylor and Chord grabbed a bite. He’s into her. She’s getting to know him. He’s hot, young and single — and he’s closer to her age than Jake Gyllenhaal [30].” And with those two sharing the same interests, it seems that Chord and Taylor are a better match. I just hope it lasts for the both of them.

Taylor Swift as sources are reporting that the country singer’s romance with Jake Gyllenhaal is over, ended last month. When Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal reps were reached for comment, neither would say a word. However, other sources say that they saw this coming as the musician and the actor spent the holidays and their birthdays apart.

A lot of people may be wondering just how in the world a romance between Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift came to fruition and a source has made it easier for our minds to understand by revealing some details about their relationship. The source said that the actor was actually very enamored with the country singer that he asked his people to make an introduction. The insider said “Jake likes that Taylor is sweet, low-key and very easy to be around. Besides, he likes blondes, he thinks she’s pretty and he has a thing for Southern girls. Taylor dotes on Jake. She’s love-struck and he loves the attention.” I’m still on the fence on whether or not they will last but they’re definitely charming me into believing they have what it takes to make it all the way.

The singer who has had her share of rocky roads to happiness in relationships and has no reticence of singing about them isn’t quite sure about whether getting married is worth it or not. This is what Taylor Swift had to say on the matter: “I’ve seen marriages be really great, and I’ve seen them be not so great. I’ve seen that people have to really work through love and fight for it, and I’ve been in relationships where you have to fight for it. And is it worth it?” Even though Taylor Swift answers her question, she’s probably going to do what she does best: write a song about it. After all, that’s much more profitable than just idle pondering.

And just when you thought that she was over this, Taylor Swift comes in and starts it all again with the relationship stuff. Speaking about the song “The Story of Us” from her upcoming album, Taylor Swift said the following: “It was at an awards show and there had been this falling-out between me and this guy. I think both of us had so much that we wanted to say, but we’re sitting six seats away from each other, just fighting this silent war of ‘I don’t care that you’re here.’ I remember getting home and sitting at the kitchen table and saying to my mom, ‘It was like I was standing alone in a crowded room.’ That’s when my eyes glazed over and I got distracted and walked away to write. My mom is used to me doing that.” Oh, when will she learn? Well, at least she got around to writing an apology song so that might be the first step to growing up.

The singer has recently talked about her new song, “Back to December”, which will be the first apology song she’s ever done. This is what Taylor Swift had to say about it: “Back to December is a song that addresses a first for me in that I’ve never apologized to someone in a song before”. Who could it be, who could it be? Who made Taylor Swift feel so miserable and guilty with herself that she actually had to write a song to correct that… hopefully the lyrics will be revelatory in this sense.

Country singer Taylor is happy that she came out in the open and cleared the air regarding her split with
Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas. The incident made quite a few headlines last year when teen singer Joe Jonas broken teenager Taylor Swift’s heart by ending their romance.

Joe Jonas famously rang Taylor Swift up and announced their split in a 25 second phone call which prompted to write the hit song Forever and Always wherein she describes her heartache.

Speaking to Seventeen magazine the brunette singer says, “Writing songs about people is the only way I know how to do things. I mean, I can’t wish I hadn’t written a song about someone, because if I hadn’t, that song wouldn’t exist. I just don’t find any joy in writing about things I haven’t been through. Right now, my favorite thing to write about is love. And break-ups. And boys. And feelings.”

It took that freaking fella 25 secs, I didn’t know it took that long. I’ve dumped plenty of chicks, and, it sure as all hell didn’t take 25-seconds.

Who knew that Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato were friends? And who knew that either teenager happened to be a hockey fan? The country singing sweetheart and the young actress was spotted last Monday at the LA Kings vs Tampa Bay Lightning game in Los Angeles. I wonder if they talked about the Jonas Brothers. We all know how Taylor is still bitter over Joe and that Demi acted with them. Not to mention that Demi’s best friend Selena Gomez happens to be dating Nick. There’s no way that no gossiping occurred during their little get together. They wouldn’t be teenagers otherwise.

The American Music Awards were recently on and saw former lovers Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift keep it cool when asked if they were weirded out by each others presence at the ceremony. Joe said that it was all good while Taylor just gushed about being there saying “I’m so excited to be here, I’m so excited the album went number one… to be here and to be nominated and performing. This is going to be a fun night.” There’s nothing for the country crooning sweetheart to worry about anyway. The best revenge was served when she outsold her ex’s album.
