It came as a shock to a lot of people when Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce from her hubby Pete Wentz. I’m still reeling from the news, mainly because I still don’t know the reason why she’s doing it. From what I could tell, they were a happy family. However, sources are reporting that the singer/actress wanted out of the marriage for a very long time and even though Pete is begging her to reconsider, she’s had enough. A source even said that Pete had cried to Ashlee, insisting that they could make the relationship work but Ashlee didn’t budge. I am really curious as to what happened between them to lead to this.

The singer seems to be extremely excited about the upcoming celebration since she hopes she will be getting the upper hand over Pete Wentz. This is what Ashlee Simpson said on the matter: “Every Valentine’s Day is sweet. Pete’s very creative, so he’s always coming up with something clever and surprising me. Hopefully, I’ll surprise him this year.” Hopefully Pete Wentz is good at acting surprised because he’ll be expecting something from Ashlee Simpson given the fact that she decided to publicly declare that she intends to surprise him. Maybe it’s reverse psychology, maybe Ashlee Simpson’s surprise is that there is no surprise.

Pete Wentz has confirmed that Fall Out Boy have not split up but are just “on a break”.

The 30-year-old star recently left fans worried when he posted messages on his Twitter page saying that he didn’t think he would be playing with the band again.

However, he has now said to E! online: “We’re just on a break. I think that after having Bronx, and with my wife [Ashlee Simpson] having this much of a workload right now, it has been such a good thing for me.

“There’s nothing I wanna be better at in the world than being a dad.”

Although Fall Out Boy formally announced a hiatus last summer, it appears that it could be the end of the band for good. Bassist Pete Wentz recently posted a message on his website saying “As much as i don’t have a solo project, i also can’t predict that i’d ever play in fall out boy again. not due to personal relationships as much as a band we grew apart. in this statement id like to include there is the possibility that fob will play again with out me or i will be a part of it when everyone is on the same page. it is no ones fault and there is no animosity about the decision.” Lead singer Patrick Stump seems to think the same thing as he said “I’m not in Fall Out Boy right now, but one way or another, the band will always be around. Steven Tyler isn’t in Aerosmith anymore, but his gravestone will probably say something about Aerosmith. Whether we play again or not, I don’t know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don’t, it will also be for the right reasons.”

Pete Wentz opened up a bit more on his life and his druggy past in the new December issue of Details magazine. On finding out about becoming a dad, Pete said “I was like, ‘Oh my God, this might be the worst possible time to have this conversation. I was definitely scared, just thinking, This is something that’s going to exist for the rest of your life and you can’t fuck it up…It was a happy accident. But I think that certain things happen for a reason in your life, and maybe it was time to put the wild child in the cage.” And it seems that being a dad was what saved him from drugs saying “After Heath Ledger, I was just like, Man, this is not going to end up good…I realized I found my soul mate, and it made me want to be a better person. Now, with the baby, I want to be the best dad I can be.”

Bronx Mowgli’s proud papa, Pete Wentz, is slowly opening up about his new role as a dad. During a recent radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, the Fall Out Boy bassist spoke about his baby’s name and revealed “I feel weird—people have all these ideas of what it means now. I think it’s kind of cool to leave the narrative the way it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever…I don’t think anybody knows the real story of why or how. We came up with the idea Bronx, we’d been throwing it back and forth a while ago.” The baby’s middle name, Mowgli, he says “The Jungle Book is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s really cool.”

The beautiful flame-haired singer Ashlee Simpson gave birth to a cute baby boy on November 20, 2008 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The baby has been named Bronx Mowgli Wentz and is weighed 7 lbs and 11 oz.

A rep of the gorgeous singer told the OK! Magazine, “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

Interestingly, Ashlee Simpson was placed in the same suite in the maternity ward where Julia Roberts delivered her twins.

The band Fall Out Boy has just set a new record and oddly enough, it has nothing to do with the amount of albums sold. It seems that the guys did a record-breaking 72 radio interviews in one day. That’s a Guinness World Record folks! On Halloween day, Pete Wentz and lead vocalist Patric Vaughn Stump took to their challenge and began at the ungodly hour of 3AM with the calls. The guys managed to beat the previous record for the ‘Most Interviews on Radio in a 24 Hour Period by a Pair of Two’ which was set back in May 2008 with 57 radio calls in 24 hours.
