Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon showed their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, to the world for their 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters this past Friday. The couple shared some personal photos of the twins, talked about Mariah’s difficulties during the pregnancy and opened up about their marriage. The twins have to be the cutest little things but I can’t say I enjoyed the interview. I don’t think that the pop diva knew exactly what she was getting into by getting pregnant and having babies. This one probably comes as a shocker… but there is a rational explanation behind it all. It seems that while in the hospital, one of the nurses suggested to Mariah Carey that the yeast in Guinness improves breastfeeding. This of course blew out of proportion into rumors of Mariah Carey drinking beer in the hospital. Afterwards, the child protection services came along to ensure that she and Nick Cannon weren’t the type of parents that would actually do such a thing. Even though it was all cleared up, Nick Cannon wasn’t too happy about all that had went down and had much criticism for all of the people supposedly trying to make a buck or two off of his newborn children. Maybe they might try throwing a little of that nursery gold their way to keep their distance.

This might actually be one of the reasons that confers Nick Cannon’s marriage a lot of stability. It seems the singer admires Mariah Carey a lot more than most husbands probably would at this time in the marriage. This is what Nick Cannon said on the matter: “I’m in awe of my wife. She is the most beautiful, strong person I’ve ever met. Seeing her go through this and have to literally just relinquish everything that she’s always been, and sacrifice her being for her children is just the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” Well now, it’s not like Mariah Carey has to go through pregnancy in a poverty-stricken, war ravished universe, now is it? Could Nick Cannon be giving her just a wee bit more credit than is due?

It seems that Mariah Carey’s husband is slowly reaching the edge when it comes to her pregnancy and the recent little scare they had that the twins might be coming early. This is what Nick Cannon said on the matter: “They’re calling it a ’scare,’ but really, it was just nerve-wracking. We were in the hospital from 4 a.m. until I don’t even know. The thing with twins is that you want them in their natural incubator as long as possible. They might be ready to come out, but we need them to stay in for a while.” As comfortable and warm as it may be right there in Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon has to realize that those two will have to come out eventually and the day draws ever nearer.

These two really have some kind of commitment issues since they feel the need to get married again every year… and they’ve only done it three times up until now. Apparently this time Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon decided to keep it more traditional and they had the ceremony at home as the rapper relates: “This time we’re going to do it home. I have to do it every single year. If you were married to Mariah Carey, you’d want to marry her every year too! I just have to keep doing it to make sure it’s real.” Actually, if any other people were married to Mariah Carey, they’d probably want to divorce her every year just to make sure they’re still separated. It truly is one of the great dilemmas of the universe: what does Nick Cannon see in Mariah Carey?

Mariah Carey is shows off her assets in the music video for her new single Obsessed.

The video, which premiered during America’s Got Talent on Wednesday evening features Carey playing various stalkers who want to get close to their favourite star – the singer herself.

One stalker is bell-boy; another is a hip-hop-loving character who looks like Detroit rapper Eminem and who comes to an unfortunate end when he is hit by a bus.

It had been reported that Mariah was responding to Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, who had a dig at her in the recent hit Bagpipes From Baghdad.

However, Carey recently took to Twitter to deny those claims.

She wrote: “I am NOT at any point in the video playing a specific person. I’m dressed as a ’stalker’ in 3 different ensembles.”

Obsessed is the first single from Mariah’s new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which is due for release on August 25.

It looks like Mariah Carey is looking to extend the honeymoon stage of her marriage to Nick Cannon as the Daily Mirror reports that the curvaceous diva just paid $5 million for a luxurious new Caribbean home. The couple’s new West Indies love nest reportedly has five bedrooms, Jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool. It looks like Nick is turning out to be one really spoiled husband. I bet he convinced her to move to the Caribbean because that’s the only place where he can get work. And it’s DJ work at that. Does the kid even have any talent at all?

Mariah Carey’s marriage won’t last more than six months, according to friends. The 38-year-old singer, who wed rapper Nick Cannon in April, is so demanding her new husband won’t be able to cope with her diva-like behaviour.

One pal close to Mariah revealed 27-year-old Nick has become a source of ridicule for her friends and associates.

The source said: “I give the marriage six months, tops. I can’t see it lasting. Nick does whatever Mariah wants him to – he’s like her puppy. It seems like he spends more time in the stores with Mariah’s credit card than he does with Mariah herself. Mariah’s assistants and friends call him ‘Whipped Nick’ behind his back. They have little respect for him because he won’t stand up for himself.”

However, a friend of Nick’s has vehemently denied the relationship is already in trouble, insisting Nick and Mariah are perfect for each other. The pal said: “Mariah needs someone to dote on her.”
