Ronnie Wood plans to help ex Katia Ivanova launch music career

Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood is reportedly planning to help ex-girlfriend Katia Ivanova launch a music career.
The 62-year-old guitarist split with Ivanova, 21, at the end of last year after dating for 18 months. He is now seeing Brazilian Ana Araujo, 30.
A source said: “Katia is an ambitious girl, and she and Ronnie have discussed her going into music.
“Ronnie knows the business better than most, and there’s talk of him writing some material for her.”
The source added: “Ronnie’s at his happiest making music. If that also involves Katia, all the better for him.”

Russell Crowe’s wife Danielle Spencer said she knows her music career may be judged ‘more harshly’ because of her famous husband.
The 40-year-old Australian star is returning to music after having a break to have her children with Crowe – Charles, six, and Tennyson, three.
She said: “I went from being this musician who had just put out an album to suddenly being married to this person that everyone was interested in for weird reasons which had nothing to do with me.
“And then I got pregnant straight away, so it was an odd period of adjustment. There were definitely a couple of years where I needed to get my balance.”
She added: “But I don’t feel defensive about what I’m doing. I like to keep a low profile, and Russell’s the same. We don’t court the limelight. The attention we get… that’s out of my control.
“Some people may judge me more harshly but I hope that the majority will just listen to the music and take it for what it is.”

U2 Concert to Stream Live on YouTube
U2 have confirmed via video blog that their sold-out concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California, Sunday 25th October 2009 will be streamed free, in full and live on YouTube. It’s the first time a show of this size will be streamed live.
The Rose Bowl show is the penultimate U2 show this year – with more to come in 2010 – and already is set to host the venueâs biggest ever audience of over 96, 000 fans. The 360Ë Tour, which has been critically acclaimed and âre-invents rockânârollâ*, will now boast unique access for fans worldwide – as fans in territories yet to be visited by the tour, or not at all, will be able to enjoy the whole show online. Managed in partnership with Live Nation, this sell-out tour has broken attendance records in most venues it has visited – its success due in part to increased capacity coupled with a lower ticket price and great sight lines afforded by the stunning in-the-round stage set. Visit U2.com or youtube.com/u2official for details of how to join in this ground-breaking on-line event.
U2 manager Paul McGuinness said – “The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time. As we’re filming the LA show, it’s the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 – this time U2 can go to them, globally.”
YouTube will be streaming live across five continents. The show will be available in the usual You Tube way, as video-on-demand, following two full replays – after the live stream – on both U2.com and You Tube.
“YouTube is thrilled to be able to provide our global audience with a live streaming performance from one of the world’s greatest bands” – Chris Maxcy, Director of YouTube Partner Development. “We are always looking for new ways to connect fans around the world with their favourite artists, and this is the perfect opportunity to do just that.”
No commentsNirvana Live At Reading To Premeir On Fuse
On November 2 at 11 p.m. ET, Fuse, the national music network, will televise the worldwide premiere of Nirvana Live at Reading, the band’s legendary, never-before-released 1992 Reading concert. The show, marking the first time that Nirvana fans will experience the epochal August 30, 1992 headlining appearance at UK’s Reading Festival, will debut as an hour long broadcast the night before the limited edition 90 minute CD+DVD Deluxe Edition is by Geffen/UMe.
Featuring 25 songs including “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “All Apologies” and “Come As You Are,” Nirvana’s performance at Reading ranked No. 1 in Kerrang Magazine’s “100 Gigs That Shook The World” chart and was voted as “Nirvana’s No. 1 Greatest Moment” by fans in a recent NME poll.
“Fuse is excited to provide Nirvana fans with the first opportunity to witness this historic music event since the concert 17 years ago,” said David Weier, vice president, programming, Fuse. “Not only are we airing a highly anticipated, never-before-seen concert in more than 65 million homes, we are providing Nirvana’s loyal fan base with companion programming for a comprehensive and unique viewing experience.”
Leading up to the premiere of Nirvana Live at Reading, Fuse will air “Loaded: Nirvana,” a half-hour of Nirvana’s greatest music videos at 10 p.m. ET, followed by “Videos That Rocked the World: Smells Like Teen Spirit,” a celebration of the legendary music video which was a breakthrough for music, entertainment, culture and society.
While the show’s centerpiece was a performance of nearly the entire Nevermind tracklist, also noteworthy were early performances of three as yet unrecorded songs which wouldn’t be released until 2 years later on In Utero: “All Apologies,” “Dumb,” and in its first ever public performance, “Tourettes.” The career-spanning setlist also reached back to the band’s 1989 Sub Pop debut album, Bleach, for “Blew,” “About A Girl,” “School,” “Negative Creep” and first single “Love Buzz,” and even further back to the mid-’80s for “Spank Thru.” Other songs from the Reading set would appear in studio form on the Incesticide compilation later in the year: “Aneurysm,” “Been A Son” and “Sliver.” Additionally, the band played a pair of beloved covers by two bands that helped shape the formative Nirvana sound– “The Money Will Roll Right In” by Fang and “D-7″ by The Wipers.
“SCHOOL” LIVE VIDEO:
Andy Williams to be at the next Glastonbury
The singer has recently been booked by the festivalâs organizer, Michael Eavis, to attend next yearâs edition of the festival. Michael Eavis said the following about getting Andy Williams to play at Glastonbury: “The expectations are really high. We’re trying to get the best headliners in the world.” Apparently, tickets for the show sold in less than 24 hours after being put on sale. Either Andy Williams still has a great deal of old fans, or most people just donât really care about the music and go there only for the nameâs sake. After all, who could possibly want to go to a festival with no certain line-up?
No commentsAFI ROCK THE ROXY FOR CRASH LOVE RELEASE PARTY
To celebrate the release of their eighth studio album, Crash Love, AFI took to the stage at the world famous Roxy on Sunset thanks to local Los Angeles radio station KROQ. In front of an intimate crowd of hundred’s, rather than thousands that typically fill AFI shows, the band played a thrashing 14 song set filled with classics of the past, and a handful of Crash Love gems that are soon to be just that. Highlights of the night were too many to capsulize, but front man Davey Havok’s front flip into the waiting crowd on “Kill Caustic” and the stunning rendition of The Cure’s classic “Just Like Heaven” marked just a few of the moments that lit up the night. Reminiscent of 1995, AFI welcomed Nick 13 (Tiger Army) and Geoff Kresge (ex AFI/Tiger Army) to the stage to sing “Nyquil,” a track from the band’s first album, Answer That and Stay Fashionable. Electric performances of AFI’s radio singles “Miss Murder” and Crash Love’s “Medicate” put a cap on a night that will not soon be forgotten by the fan’s lucky enough to be present that night.
Fans of AFI who could not be at the show now have the chance to watch a handful of videos from the epic evening on KROQ.com. To find out when and where you can see AFI live, visit AFireInside.net/events. Crash Love is in-stores now and available everywhere good music is sold.

Travis Barker Talks DJ AM
Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker was more than just a friend to DJ AM, who passed away last Friday due to a suspected drug overdose. The two also happened to be musical collaborators and both survived a deadly plane crash that killed four people last year. On Saturday, Travis opened up for the first time about the loss of his friend. He said âDon’t know how i am gonna play 2night but i am for AM. My brother is gone.i love u and miss u, i’ll never forget all the good times we had. I’ll never forget everything we’ve been through and every time i play the drums I’ll think of you. U were an amazing friend/DJ/human being. Rest In Peace my brother, this really fucks me up.â
No commentsSophie Dahl and Jamie Cullen set a wedding date

Supermodel Sophie Dahl is to tie the knot with jazz pianist Jamie Cullen.
The couple have been secretly planning their dream wedding for the past few months after getting engaged in March.
They will tie the knot in a lavish ceremony next July at Hunton Park estate – a mansion set in 22 acres of parkland in Hertfordshire in the UK.
The wedding had originally been scheduled for January next year, but due to Jamie’s professional commitments, the big day was moved to July.
Dahl is said to have fallen in love with Hunton Park’s Queen Anne mansion house and wants no expense spared for the ceremony which is expected to have 250 guests,.
Dahl recently commented that the height difference between her and Jamie Cullum would maybe mean they produce ‘average-sized children’ – as Sophie stands 5ft 11in to Jamie’s 5ft 4in.
She said: “We happen to be two people who met, fell madly in love and will probably produce fairly average-sized children, hopefully with his more elegant feet, not mine.”

Michael Jackson’s heartbroken children last night (Tues) stepped out in public for the first time since the King of Pop’s funeral.
The late singer’s son’s Prince Michael and Blanket, and daughter Paris put on a brave face as they were taken to a Jehova’s Witnesses service in Los Angeles.
Michael’s oldest sister Rebbie Jackson, their nanny Grace Rwaramba and some cousins, accompanied the youngsters to the Kingdom Hall.
Paris, who made a moving speech about her love for her dad at his public memorial service last week, could be seen carrying a ‘Sing Praises To Jehova’ book as she walked into the service.
No commentsFree Coldplay
Coldplay wants to be nice to their fans and promote their live CD âLeftRightLeftRightLeftâ while theyâre at it. For the rest of the bandâs concerts this year, they will be giving away free live CDs to everyone who attends their shows, not including festivals. According the their website, starting with their first North American tour date on May 15th, âevery fan attending a show will be given a free copy of the nine-track CD, which won’t be available elsewhere.â Also on that date, the album will be available to download for free on their site. The free CDs are apparently meant as a ârecession-busting mark of gratitude to everyone who’s supported them.â Coldplay says âPlaying live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans â the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.â
No commentsAvril Goes Club Hopping

Avril Lavigne hops around some of LondonââŹâ˘s most exclusive nightclubs this past Tuesday. The 24-year old Canadian wannabe rocker is married to Sum 41 has-been Deryck Whibley, but her hubby was nowhere in sight as she partied the night away. Avril started her night at Boujis nightclub for an hour and then headed to Whisky Mist and then finished her night of partying at 4AM at Bungalow 8 nightclub. Avril was in town from launching her very first fragrance ââŹËBlack StarââŹâ˘ a week ago. Avril also revealed last February that sheââŹâ˘s going to launch her own clothing line. Looking at that picture, who would want to dress like her?
Hilary DuffââŹâ˘s hockey player

The actress has made an interesting confession about what happens at her boyfriendââŹâ˘s, Mike Comrie who plays for the NY Islanders, hockey games. Hilary Duff told about the fans that like to get her tempers up when she attends the games: “I like to sit in the audience, you know I don’t sit up in a box or anything, and people started to know that I’m sitting there, and they’ll be like ‘Mike sucks!’ Or they try to rile me up and I’m like, ‘Hey, watch it! I’ll come up there, you know.’ But I try to not be that crazy girlfriend.” All with great success so far, but one canââŹâ˘t hope but think of the day when Hilary Duff might lose it and go postal on the other hockey fansââŹÂŚ would probably add an interesting sideline to the game itself.
Christina Aguilera is just another mom
No matter how popular she is Christina Aguilera talks and acts like an ordinary mom. That is, she thinks the world of her son Max and is amazed with just about everything about him. Christina, who was seen in a midtown hotel with the other man in her life, has recently noticed how Max is starting to grow up fast

Despite, or should we say “because of” motherhood, Christina’s “Keeps Gettin’ Better” album looks like another feather in her cap. However, she still thinks her greatest accomplishment in life is giving birth to Max who is already 10 months old. Max is at that stage when he is showing signs that he is ready to walk, Christina said and she is very excited about it.
At a young age, Max is showing a lot of her mother in her especially with his penchant for moving and shaking. This would seem normal for every kid but Christina is seeing something else like the possibility of Max being a future drummer because he keeps on banging on things.
And with Christmas just around the corner, this new mom is just excited to show her son the best holiday ever!
No commentsBritney SpearsââŹâ˘ was a Cool Chick

If you think that Britney Spears was much sweeter, sexier and spicier at the beginning of her career, then you are probably RIGHT!
The stunning pop princess Britney Spears has herself accepted that she was a COOL CHICK in the past.
While talking to the press, Britney Spears, 26, said, ââŹĹIn my situation, I try to make it as normal as possible for me – it could be a lot worse. There are people out there who have it a lot worse than I do. I used to be a cool chick but I feel like the paparazzi has taken that away from me, like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but IââŹâ˘m not anymore.ââŹÂ
I think that she is still sexy and very very hot!!!
No commentsDJ AMââŹâ˘s Romance with Mandy Moore
DJ AM and Mandy Moore were spotted attending the Friendly HouseââŹâ˘s 19th Annual Awards Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton Hotel recently. ItââŹâ˘s fairly known that the two briefly dated after the celebrity DJ broke up with Nicole Ritchie. Mandy was also one of the first people to visit AM after his plane crash. Has the flame been rekindled between these two? Well, no one can deny that they make a beautiful couple. And any friend whoââŹâ˘s willing to fly out immediately to be by your side in the hospital is such a keeper. I hope they are together. Mandy can take care of AM around the clock.

Jesse McCartney read the childrenââŹâ˘s book favorite ââŹËCorduroyââŹâ˘ to a few kids during ââŹËRead for the Record DayââŹâ˘ on NBCââŹâ˘s Today Show in New York City recently. The 21-year old pop sensation helped JumpstartââŹâ˘s Read for the Record Campaign raise awareness of the importance of early literacy. Other guest stars included the likes of Matt Lauer, Ann Curry, LL Cool J, Mary-Louise Parker and Greg Kinnear. If he could just stick to doing these types of things instead of making such a racket in his neighborhood then maybe he would be more liked in his community. It sucks to be him sometimes.

Teen country music sensation Taylor Swift has released a new music video for her song ââŹËLove StoryââŹâ˘ which is the first official single off of her sophomore studio effort ââŹËFearlessââŹâ˘. HereââŹâ˘s the chorus to the song so you can sing along if you hear it or see the video: ââŹĹRomeo, take me somewhere we can be alone/IââŹâ˘ll be waiting, all thereââŹâ˘s left to do is run/You be the prince and IââŹâ˘ll be the princess/ItââŹâ˘s a love story, baby, just say yes.ââŹÂ By the way, the guy in the video is ââŹËNashville StarââŹâ˘ contestant Justin Gaston. If his name sounds familiar to you, heââŹâ˘s the guy whoââŹâ˘s been recently linked to Miley Cyrus.

Dixie Divorce
Another day in Hollywood can only mean another celebrity gets divorced. But in a slightly different twist, I wonââŹâ˘t bother telling you the gruesome details of divorce papers because this celebrity is already divorced. The Dixie ChicksââŹâ˘ Emily Robinson and her Bandera cowboy rocker hubby Charlie Robinson are over. TheyââŹâ˘re not separated or just getting divorced, itââŹâ˘s already a done deal. A rep says that they remain close friends and that their family is the priority and will continue to be. The divorce filing states that their marriage had become ââŹĹinsupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.ââŹÂ The couple was married back in 1999 and they have 3 children together.
