Chris Brown and Justin Bieber join forces once again on the track “Ladies Love Me”. The David Banner-produced song is part of the R&B singer’s hip hop mix tape “Boy in Detention”, which was released today. In “Ladies Love Me”, the Canadian teen pop heartthrob shows off his rapper alter-ego. Color me impressed, Justin’s actually good. Maybe he can consider doing a rap mix tape… or not. Do I really want another reason for him to still be around? I can barely handle seeing and hearing about him every time I’m around a girl under the age of 16. But anyway, “Ladies Love Me” is pretty good.

Demi Lovato is featured in a spread in the September 2011 issue of Elle magazine. In the accompanying interview, the 18-year old singer/actress spoke about her problems with tour mate Alex Welch, her breakup with Joe Jonas, being bullied as a child and being pictured with cutting marks, among other things. When asked about her ex-boyfriend Joe and whether he was the reason for her personal issues, Demi said “I wouldn’t credit my meltdown to a guy. But they all agree that when it comes to Catherine Hardwicke’s adaptation, Robert Pattinson’s work on the soundtrack was A+. Carter Burwell, who scored the first movie, will be back for part 1 of BD. Bill also alluded to the idea that someone from the cast is in negotiations to perform a song to be part of the soundtrack as well. He didn’t say who but Jackson Rathbone and his band 100 Monkeys is the likely guy, though I wouldn’t be opposed to Robert singing again.

Justin Bieber opened up about his next album some time last month and revealed that he’s already hard at work developing some new music for it. But before he gets too immersed in his new album, it looks like the teen pop singer is giving himself a vacation. Justin said “I’ve been working so hard, I’m taking a month off. It’s been great to just think and enjoy hanging out with my friends. I’m still growing up, and when you’re working every day, you don’t really get a chance to figure out who you are. So with the time off, I’m able to think, pray and just kind of grow up.” Who wants to be burned out before they even turn 20 anyway? So yeah, take all the time you need.

After a short trip of Europe, Joe Jonas is back in the US to start the promotion of his single “See No More”. The Jonas Brothers singer gone solo artist made his solo US TV debut earlier this week on NBC’s Late Show with Jimmy Fallon. I was expecting him to do a bigger show but I guess that was the only gig he’s gotten so far. I also don’t quite get why he had to wear that particular outfit. Sure, he’s trying to go for a different vibe than when he was in his pop band but at 21, he’s too young for that look. Also, get rid of the cheesy dancers next time and get a better production team. It’s a good thing Joe delivered some solid vocals for this.

Lady Antebellum lead singer Hillary Scott is set to marry drummer Chris Tyrell. People is reporting that the 25-year old country star and the 24-year old musician got engaged over the 4th of July weekend in Tennessee. Hillary told the magazine “Chris proposed exactly the way I’ve always dreamed. Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!” Congratulations to the happy couple!
