Tom Felton doesn’t think he deserved Best Villain gong
Harry Potter star Tom Felton said he doesn’t feel he deserved to win the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain.
The 22-year-old actor won the Best Villain gong at the ceremony in LA for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series.
Speaking about his win, he said to MTV News: “Very exciting! The most surreal moment of my life. I had Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell hanging above my head on a wire.
“So, yeah, I can’t know what to make of that.”
However, Felton admitted that he didn’t think he deserved to win against his competitors in the category.
He said: “I would definitely say no! Against Christoph Waltz and Helena Bonham Carter? Not really fair competition. I thought I was well out of the works. Thanks to the fans for voting. I really appreciate it.”

Reality star Whitney Port is trying to get a feel for her type of guy.
The City star is back on the dating scene and is trying to find her ideal type of guy in her new series of the MTV show.
The 24-year-old told MTV News: “There’s some blind dates and one in particular that didn’t go so amazingly well.
“But I’ll leave that up to you guys to see as a surprise.”
In the last series of the reality show, Whitney had a rocky relationship with musician Jay Lyon.
Port added: “There’s another sort of love interest that I dated for a little while.
“And, you know, (he’s) very different than what I’m used to – very different from Jay, obviously.”
“I’m just trying to, like, get my feel for different kinds of guys and see what I like and what I can work with.
Whitney added: “It’s been fun.”
No commentsThe All-American Rejects Rock New York City
The All-American Rejects got busy in New York City this week starting off with a special performance of their hit single “Gives You Hell.”
They took the stage with house band Wale at MTV’s VMAs show where front man Tyson Ritter debuted a new glittery look. After rocking the proverbial house, Ritter caught up with MTV news
and confirmed the long standing rumor that he will in fact be teaming up with pop powerhouse Rihanna for a yet to be recorded track. With AAR’s stock rising by the day, it only made sense for the quartet to cap their week by ringing the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange
The All-American Rejects’ album When The World Comes Down featuring “Gives You Hell” and “I Wanna” is in stores now. For more information visit allamericanrejects.com

Travis Barker Attends DJ AM’s Funeral
DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, was laid to rest at a private funeral attended by friends and family, including the likes of Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and actor Scott Caan, at Hillside Memorial Park last Wednesday in Culver City, California. A memorial was also held last Thursday night at LA’s Hollywood Palladium for AM, who died at the age of 36. MTV recently released a statement regarding his death saying “MTV was honored to support him as he helped young people battle their own addictions. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to his family.” Rest in peace DJ AM.
No commentsBritney Spears hell of a year
Britney Spears recently said that she has had a very nasty year. She said: The whole year has been a hell of a year for me. I have been working so hard on my album, but I didn’t know exactly where I stood with everyone. When I received my MTV Video MTV Music Awards and the audience stood for me, it showed me how much love is out there. Recording this album has helped take my mind off certain things. For me, my music is therapy.” I remember at some point that some people actually deal in getting audiences for shows, so many Britney is a bit confused. Those people there were maybe just doing her job. She is to release her new album.

Jordin Sparks Stands Up
American Idol winner Jordin Sparks told Entertainment Weekly that she stands by the comment that she made at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards but she wishes that she could have reworded it a bit. She said “It’s something I feel strongly about. I wish I would’ve worded it differently — that somebody who doesn’t wear a promise ring isn’t necessarily a slut — but I can’t take it back now. It was a split-second thing, and it came out kind of wrong. Still, I don’t regret it.” When she was asked about how she felt about 2008 MTV VMAs host Russell Brand, Jordin said “I have nothing against him at all.”
No commentsKanye for the Troops
Rap superstar and MTV VJ Sway Calloway recently gave three young war vets who just returned from Iraq the surprise of their lives. The duo dropped in unexpectedly at the homes of the vets to listen to the soldiers’ stories and express some gratitude for their service to the country. MTV was there to capture it all on film. You can see the powerful, moving moments from the visits on MTV on July 28th. Apart from listening to the soldiers, on behalf of MTV and the Dr. Donda West Foundation, the duo gave each vet a life-changing gift from paying off their debts to taking care of their rent on tuition.
Britney Spears set for MTV comeback
Britney Spears is looking back to her old self and it seems the people who matter are taking notice.
Bosses at MTV could be set to ask her to return to September’s Video Music Awards (VMAs) despite her disastrous performance just 12 months ago.
She gave a dreadful and out of time rendition of single Gimme More at the bash in Las Vegas. She was later spotted crying backstage.
So could Brit be set for her second “comeback” in as many years?
MTV president Van Toffler revealed: “Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?”
Let’s hope Britney gets it right this time. Otherwise she might not get that third and final strike before she’s down and out.
No commentsParis Hilton and Benji Make Sweet Music

If you can call any music Paris makes sweet. Benji already recorded a song about Paris, and now he’s helping her with her music.
Seems he’s helping her come up with the theme song to her new MTV reality show My New BFF. Paris says, “He’s helping me write the lyrics for the song and then I’ll sing it too.”
Oooh, if Paris is going to sing it, I can’t wait.
