Britney Spears hell of a year
Britney Spears recently said that she has had a very nasty year. She said: The whole year has been a hell of a year for me. I have been working so hard on my album, but I didn’t know exactly where I stood with everyone. When I received my MTV Video MTV Music Awards and the audience stood for me, it showed me how much love is out there. Recording this album has helped take my mind off certain things. For me, my music is therapy.” I remember at some point that some people actually deal in getting audiences for shows, so many Britney is a bit confused. Those people there were maybe just doing her job. She is to release her new album.
Tokio Hotel Meet Jonas Brothers
Ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards, their supporters discuss the question with vigor, as to which band is actually the more incredible. There is talk of Tokio Hotel, the most successful German rock band, and the Jonas Brothers, currently America’s greatest pop band. At this year’s VMA awards on September 7th in L.A., they came together in the category “Best Pop Video”, further stoking up the discussion from supporters of both bands. And the question on everybody’s lips – does this translate to competition between the two bands themselves? The truth is there is nothing of the sort, quite the opposite. Tokio Hotel (who won the MTV VMA category “Best New Artist”) and Jonas Brothers have one thing in common: while Tokio Hotel are currently superstars in Europe who are successfully capturing great attention and fans across the United States, the superstars from America, Jonas Brothers, have planned to conquer Europe. Tokio Hotel Returning To Rock The US
Recently named best new artist of 2008 at the MTV VMAs, Tokio Hotel is back in the US and kicking off their fall tour October 24th in Orlando. Check out their promo video for the tour and find out if they are coming to a city near you!

Tokio Hotel have extended their US stay
After being nominated for two VMAs (best new artist and best pop video), Tokio Hotel have extended their US stay and are set to take over Hollywood with performances on Jimmy Kimmel (9/9) and at local landmark Hollywood & Highland (9/6). Fans are in for a treat as Kimmel has invited the band to rock out on the infamous outdoor stage with a 5-song set including hit single “Monsoon.” Fandemonium is sure to ensue as the 10 craziest fans at Hollywood & Highland will be awarded VIP treatment with early admission to the Kimmel performance and their fifteen minutes of fame on national TV. For an intimate look at a Tokio Hotel’s live performance, check them out performing “Monsoon” on the radio for the very first time in the US. The band stopped by Hot 95.7 in Houston before their show, and as usual, caused a fan frenzy on the phone lines. Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav also stuck around for an interview where they dished on everything from the Jonas Brothers to touring in the US to Bill’s signature look.

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks told Entertainment Weekly that she stands by the comment that she made at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards but she wishes that she could have reworded it a bit. She said “It’s something I feel strongly about. I wish I would’ve worded it differently — that somebody who doesn’t wear a promise ring isn’t necessarily a slut — but I can’t take it back now. It was a split-second thing, and it came out kind of wrong. Still, I don’t regret it.” When she was asked about how she felt about 2008 MTV VMAs host Russell Brand, Jordin said “I have nothing against him at all.”

The Jonas Brothers publicly commented for the first time on Russell Brand making fun of their virginity during this past weekend’s VMAs.
The brothers are very much cool with his mockery. Nick said, “For us it’s cool to see that he recognizes we are gentleman.” Nick also thought that Brand was hilarious when he guested on Conan O’Brien.
Nick also said, “I don’t know if there is really a positive (to come out of Russell’s comments) – he was kind of running out of material after a little while.”
And when asked if they had a message to give Brand, big bro Joe said, “I’d give him a hug. I think he needs a hug!”
Hugs make the world a happier place! Haha, I’d love to see Joe give Russell a hug.
The brothers also shared the thrill of meeting popstar Britney Spears.
Joe said, “We met a lot of people there- we met Britney Spears and she was incredible!”

Never did I imagine that I will use those words in one sentence ever again. At the recent 2008 MTV VMAs, Britney Spears gathered a standing ovation plus three moonmen for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year.
The 26-year-old comeback pop princess just revealed her next album will be released by late December. “It’s my best work ever,” Britney proudly told OK!.
Britney also said she is planning a big birthday bash to celebrate Jayden’s second birthday on Sept. 12 and Preston’s third birthday on Sept. 14, with the help of her father.
“I want to have a traditional party,” she said. “I have some friends with kids who I am going to invite.”
And as far as her custody battle goes, “her goal is to regain joint custody of her sons as soon as her dad, Jamie’s status as her conservator ends,” a Spears insider revealed.
Good job getting back on your feet Britney! Although I must say I kinda miss your crazy days.

Britney Spears is turning out to be really good in comedies. There’s that stint she did on ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and now she has two new hilarious 2008 MTV VMAs commercial featuring host Russell Brand and herself. A source tells E! “It was mostly ad-libbed, with Russell asking her for advice about hosting the show. There’s also a 9,000-pound elephant in it, as in ‘the elephant in the room.’” The VMAs will air live from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and one-time only in its original format on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 9PM Live ET and Tape Delayed PT.
