Cast Member on Breaking Dawn Soundtrack

August 01st, 2011 | Category: Actor, Actress, Movies, Music, Singer

Fans of the first movie from the “Twilight” series either really love or really hate it. But they all agree that when it comes to Catherine Hardwicke’s adaptation, Robert Pattinson’s work on the soundtrack was A+. So it should be no surprise when fans got excited at the revelation that “Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon plans to pay a bit of an homage to the first film by incorporating similar music. Carter Burwell, who scored the first movie, will be back for part 1 of BD. Bill also alluded to the idea that someone from the cast is in negotiations to perform a song to be part of the soundtrack as well. He didn’t say who but Jackson Rathbone and his band 100 Monkeys is the likely guy, though I wouldn’t be opposed to Robert singing again.

Johnny Depp: 'Jack Sparrow couldn't cope with love'

Johnny Depp believes that his Pirates Of The Caribbean character Captain Jack Sparrow would not be able to cope if he found love. The 47-year-old actor, who reprises his role in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, said that he doubts Sparrow will ever find his soul mate. He told MTV News, "I think if we did a scenario where it was Captain Jack really falling in love, it would most likely be a silent film. "I think he would go completely catatonic and be unable to speak. He would probably sit there and quiver for an hour and a half. It would mess up the legend. Which I think is always working for it, to leave the legend behind." Talking about his friendship with co-star Penelope Cruz, he added, "She’s one of the greatest gifts you could get. She’s so fiery and has such spirit and such talent. Also, besides that, she’s a great friend. She’s so funny and so capable of anything."

Eclipse star Kellan Lutz has said he thinks the movie has a ‘great mix’ of romance and action.

The US actor plays the role of vampire Emmett Cullen in the hit movie series and admitted he really enjoyed making the third flick in the franchise.

He said to MTV News: “I just love doing my own stunts. I love stunt work. It sucks that I can’t rewrite the books and add more dialogue for Emmett, because I really do have more action scenes than dialogue.

“So it’s great when Eclipse came around, ’cause I do love the book the best, and I think it just had such a great mix of the romance and the action and the collaboration of the two.”

He added: “I love to work, so it’s great when Emmett’s in there, and he’s there to fight. So I really just loved doing stunts.”

However, Stewart said she isn’t so worried about kissing scenes in general.

She said: “It’s totally like any other scene. It’s all about getting the scene right, and, like, they’re your friends, so it’s not weird.”

Brit comedian Russell Brand has revealed he hated shooting sex scenes for his latest movie.

But he admitted to The Sun he found it “stressful” and “awkward”.

Brand, who is engaged to singer Katy Perry, said: “It’s actually sort of stressful. Not like actual sex, not as I know it. You’re standing with no pants, hunched over someone but without the lust.”

Brand was also accidentally set on fire during filming, adding: “I stood in the wrong place.”

Johnny Depp reportedly ordered to quit new Angelina Jolie movie by wife

March 04th, 2010 | Category: Actor, Actress, Angelina Jolie, Movies

SPL158587_008

Johnny Depp’s long-term love Vanessa Paradis has ordered the actor to quit his new movie after she discovered that he would be sharing a passionate sex scene with Angelina Jolie, according to US reports.

Paradis flipped out and reportedly “ordered Depp to find another gig” after hearing of his intimate scenes with Jolie, who famously fell in love with married co-star Brad Pitt while shooting the 2005 movie Mr & Mrs Smith together.

Depp and Jolie have already started filming The Tourist in Venice – but according to reports, Paradis is still trying to get Depp to quit as she “found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between [Depp] and Jolie” in the movie.

A source said: “He’s currently trying to get out of the movie, but I don’t know if he’s succeeded. But he’s trying, and they’re talking about replacing him with Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.”

Paradis is Depp’s partner of 12 years and they have two children together.

The French actress is reportedly alarmed that the sex scenes include Jolie, who has a reputation for seducing her married co-stars.

In 1999, Jolie started dating her Pushing Tin co-star Billy Bob Thornton, while the actor was reportedly engaged to actress Laura Dern.

Spokespeople for Depp, Jolie, Sony Pictures and producer Graham King could not be reached for comment.

George Clooney cancer scene nixed by upstart director

January 06th, 2010 | Category: Actor, Movies

SPL132533_013

A sub-plot that had George Clooney’s corporate high flyer character in Up In The Air dealing with cancer was nixed by upstart director Jason Reitman.

After a bit of buzz in the blogosphere, Reitman put to rest the rumour that Clooney’s jaded character who travels light in a life without relationships was also battling cancer.

He said that in the book from which the movie was adapted, “You find out that [Ryan Bingham, Clooney's character] is dying of terminal disease and that he’s going to the Mayo clinic.”

But he decided against including the scene that appeared early on that showed an airline stewardess mistakenly asking Clooney if he “wants the can sir” with Clooney thinking she’s saying “cancer” the first few times.

Reitman said the idea for the scene came out of something he actually saw on a plane. He said he included it because it was a “cute nod” to those who had read the book and because it was just the kind of problem Bingham might have had given his addiction to travel and obsession with flying.

Love triangle scenes ‘nearly killed me’ says New Moon star Kristen Stewart

August 26th, 2009 | Category: Love, Movies

kristen stewart-picture

New Moon star Kristen Stewart said filming the movie’s love triangle scenes nearly “killed” her.

Kristen, 19, plays the role of Bella in the movies and is caught in a love triangle between werewolf Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner, and vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.

Talking about the new movie, she said: “I think it’s the one book in the series that I was intimidated by – in a good way. That’s the best feeling to start a movie with.

“But probably my favourite line in the book is when I have to say to [Jacob], ‘It’s him, it’s always been him!’ Like, I have to say that. Yeah, it killed me, it killed me.”

Asked if it was a tough day to shoot, she said: “Yeah, and just like everything in our movie, it’s such a heightened version of reality.

“It’s like, people don’t just break up [in the Twilight films] – they break up and it literally kills you. It’s not like you just say, ‘Oh, I’m really depressed and crying’.

“Everything is supposed to be a fantasy version of that. So I always had a really hard time figuring out, ‘Am I doing enough? Do I look like I’m going to die’?”

“The Thing” Prequel is coming soon!

February 02nd, 2009 | Category: Movies

the-thing
Strike Entertainment Producers announced a prequel for the super hit horror movie “The thing”.
The producers are on the outlook for the right script writer for screenplay of the movie and screenwriter Ronald D. Moore who has previously worked for the relaunch of the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica is one of the persons who is being considered for raising a hell-raising plot.

Usually movies fans are always excited to see the sequels to previously release hit flicks but the idea of a prequel seems really interesting if they can get a plot that can show the script leading to the one already released. Everyone was looking forward for the sequel but producers must have the ideas about the prequels and hence all are waiting eagerly.

We hope that prequel must contain good animation effect and better story than before. Could bomb, or it might be just the thing. I personally like to keep away from creepy things they really tend to get the better of me.

Officer Jonas

August 28th, 2008 | Category: Jonas Brothers, Movies

Hello Officer! Joe Jonas of the latest boy band sensation the Jonas Brothers popped some bubble gum in his mouth while dressed as an NYPD officer around New York City’s Columbus Circle last week. The almost 19-year old cutie directed traffic as he shot a new scene for the group’s 3D concert movie which will premiere on February 22, 2009. In another scene, Joe pretended to arrest someone and even slapped on a set of handcuffs on another cast member. Why does Joe play the mustache-sporting cop in all their videos? First the ‘Burning Up’ music video and now this. Maybe it’s some weird fascination of his.

Something to look forward to

August 25th, 2008 | Category: Actor, Love, Movies

What’s in a name? well, James McAvoy and Emily Blunt are about find out. Both parties are now in talks to as they’re in talks to lend their voices to the title roles of Gnomeo and Juliet. The film is a cartoon version of the Shakespeare classic, produced by Miramax and Elton John’s Rocket Pictures.
McAvoy and Blunt will play two star-crossed (lovers) gnomes, whose love for each other is complicated by the fact that they’re from opposite sides of the veggie patch.
The Juliet was originally offered to Kate Winslet but she was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
The film’s producers originally planned and hoped for lyricist Tim Rice (The Lion King) team up who teamed with Sir Elton to write original tunes for Gnomeo. Instead, it looks like the film will mainly feature a number of Elton John’s classic songs. Rumors claim that some the songs to be used are “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” “Sad Songs” or “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues”. They also are expecting John to write a couple of new tracks for the film slated for release in 2010.
