It seems that the brave Russell Brand is about to start his epic journey in his new serious relationship with singer Katy Perry. The first noble task: meeting her parents. And of course, no adventure of this proportion could begin without any initial challenge, as a source relates: “Katy is as besotted with Russell as he is with her. Katy is sure that, after they get used to him, they would approve of Russell, but she wants to get that initial meeting out of the way as early as she can. Keith and Mary are devoted to the church and hold the institution of marriage as a central core of their beliefs. They are genuinely happy for their daughter, but want to give Russell the once-over to check that he is suitable.” The race is on then! We shall see how the young Russell Brand shall fare in polishing the stains off of his name in front of Katy Perry’s parents.

Lothario Russell Brand is in the throes of lust for dainty pop star Katy Perry.

Wasting no time, he said: “I think I’m in love.”

Brand and Perry were discovered to have taken a love dash to the exotic location of Thailand after Perry tweeted.

When asked about his time with Perry, he said coyly: “I don’t think I should be drawn on that.”

The pair met up at the star-studded MTV Video Music Awards. Brand got much more than he bargained for when he sent a romantic note requesting a response – a photograph of Perry’s assets.

Perry, who is in Paris, was snapped with a mystery man on her arm. Friends, however, say she is rapt about Brand.

Brand hinted the pair may soon go public with their love, saying: “You will find out very soon.”

A source, meanwhile, said: “Russell has fancied Katy for ages and was like an excited schoolboy after they got together. He really sees her as an ideal catch and is prepared to stop seeing other girls. He doesn’t want to talk about it yet as he doesn’t want to blow his chances.”

In a new interview with Popeater, Katy Perry talks about the odd facial expressions that John Mayer makes when he’s performing. The ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer revealed “John Mayer said he’s trying to get rid of his “O” face. Oh, I think it’s sexy. Why would he try to get rid of something that’s just so cool?” If John’s so-called O face is what Katy thinks to be sexy, then I’m highly turned on by overweight plumbers who show their butt cracks as their fixing the leak under the kitchen sink. John’s facial expressions have been the center of some of my nightmares.

The two singers have supposedly been going out together lately, but they are trying to keep their romance out of the public eye, or so a source says: “They’ve been trying to keep it very low profile.” Still, these rumors do have somewhat of a backing as Katy Perry has been noted to have said this about her crushes: “Who’s my most embarrassing crush? I suppose it would have to be Josh Groban. He is actually really cute!” Well, it seems that Katy Perry and Josh Groben don’t really have a choice but to face the public eye… or burry the whole thing underneath denial. Which door shall it be: number one, or number two?

Katy Perry and her boyfriend, Gym Class Heroes front man Travis McCoy, have reportedly broken up. Travis recently went to his blog to let the world know what he’s going through and he didn’t hold back. He wrote in what appears to be a song form. Here’s the first couple of lines from that blog: “We fight every night, now that’s not kosher/ I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer/ And wake up to be greeted by an argument again/ You act like you’re ten/ So immature, I try to concentrate on a cure/ And keep lookin’ at the front door/ Thinkin’ if I were to evacuate/ You’d probably be straighter than straight.” I wonder what Katy has to say.

The band turned heads left and right when they rolled up to the VMA red carpet in style this past weekend on a decked out monster truck blasting their single “Monsoon.” After admitting that they didn’t expect to take home a moon man, Tokio Hotel were shocked when Chace Crawford and Lauren Conrad announced their name as the winner of Best New Artist beating out the likes of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. It looks like Rihanna has some competition for the title of Queen for this summer as Katy Perry has done it again by topping the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth week in a row! The singer’s monster single ‘I Kissed a Girl’ is once again the number 1 song in America. The Barbadian singing sensation isn’t too far behind though as Rihanna’s ‘Take a Bow’ is hot on Katy’s heels at the number two spot. Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me on who’s going to rule the charts this summer. It’s pretty obvious that either of the girls is going to be it.
