Comedian Russell Brand reportedly wants to raise his children in the UK because he doesn’t want them to end up having American accents. The Arthur star, who currently lives in Los Angeles with his 26-year-old wife Katy Perry, may be happy in the US for the time being – but not when he has kids. When asked if he wants to return to the UK, he said: "I secretly want to do that. I have a fear of hearing my American children speak to me in American accents." Although he thinks it would be hard to persuade California-raised Perry to move. Russ, 35, added to Seven magazine: "I’m sure I can sell her Great Britain on some level. The Cotswolds, people seem to be up for that don’t they? Stone-walled cottage."

Russell Brand has admitted that he has found adapting to married life ‘difficult’. The 35-year-old British comedian tied the knot with singer Katy Perry last October, and he said that learning to live together has been quite a curve. Appearing on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, he said, "It’s difficult getting used to one person and being in the same house every day. "See, if she leaves stuff lying around I have to deal with it. And if I leave stuff on the floor I have to pick it up. That confuses me. "And she takes ages to get ready. It’s unbelievable. I had no idea what went on, I was never normally around for that bit. He continued, "We do spend quite a lot of time together. I see her a lot, that’s what marriage is, you like it or lump it. She’s always around. "I’ve never been in love before Katy, as now I rate love as being willing to change for someone. "What it boils down to is us two in a room somewhere, we chit chat, and it’s normal, with love and support."

Russell Brand has revealed that he would rather give up money than love. The reformed ladies’ man, who wed singer Katy Perry last October, said that marriage has changed his life for the better. He told US magazine Redbook: "If you’re wild, like a wild animal, marriage won’t contain you. I think that’s how a lot of people get into trouble. I think I was ready for it. "I’m discovering how lovely permanence and building an ongoing relationship can be, rather than always thinking, ‘What’s next?’ "I would never give up love; I’d definitely give up money.” The Tempest star added: "I feel quite lucky – now that I’m married, I have this great love and partnership in my life that is the most important thing to me. I also happen to be married to a girl who is quite a lot of fun."

He told The Big Issue, “Whilst at work I will fulfil those commitments, but in my marital life I will prioritise the things required for that, loyalty and honesty and love. “I think I can still make smart-aleck quips at an award ceremony, or play a dodgy character in a film when required and let that not affect my marriage. Otherwise Ray Winstone’s wife must live in terror.” And the 35-year-old admitted that he met Perry at just the right time. He explained, “To be honest, I think I was getting to a point in my life where I was ready to change. “She’s my mate, and I get on well with her. She doesn’t take any nonsense, she’s very loving and sweet and good fun, and we sort of get on.”

Russell Brand has confessed Katy Perry has him “under the thumb”. The long-haired lothario said his promiscuous days are over and his new wife has him on a tight leash. “I live under a thumb. I seek shelter from the world,” he grinned. But he added: “I’m so happy I met her. I think falling in love is the most spectacular and ordinary thing in the world. It’s a very normal romance. It’s amazing.” Brand, 35, gushed about Perry during an interview with US talk show host Larry King. Asked whether he had been in love before, the controversial comedian said: “Evidently not. This feels like a very different experience to me. She’s like a mate. She’s like my friend.” He added: “She’s like a laugh, she’s like a normal person really, really smart, very determined, clever. She shoots from the hip and from the heart.” Brand, who married Perry in India last month, even revealed that he would like to have children with the 26-year-old pop star.

British comedian Russell Brand has revealed that he’s been interested in women since the age of seven. The 35-year-old Get Him To The Geek star, who is reportedly set to marry fiancée Katy Perry later this month, said the first time he saw a woman in the nude, he was “compelled” to look at her naked body. Asked at what age he realised he was a “sexual being”, he told Elle.com: “I was seven. The lady from across the road asked to use my mum’s bath, and I was compelled to watch her washing in the tub. “I’d overheard the conversation taking place downstairs, and with strategic brilliance, I immediately decamped all my toy cars into the bathroom.” He added: “When my mum said, ‘OK Russell, get out, Josie’s having a bath in here now’, Josie said, ‘Oh, that’s all right, he’s only a little boy’. The mad fools!”

The Tempest star Russell Brand thinks his life is one big party now he is getting married to Katy Perry. Brand played coy when asked by Et.com when the big day for the pair will be, as he said it would ‘compromise the sanctity of the event’. But as for a bachelor party, the 35-year-old joked: “My whole life is a bachelor party!” The British funnyman revealed that Perry went to view his upcoming film The Tempest with him, which sees him starring alongside Helen Mirren as Shakespearean character Trinculo.

Engaged pair Russell Brand and Katy Perry are reportedly having relationship counselling just weeks away from their wedding day.

Perry, 25, is set to marry the British comic soon but she is said to be worried that their busy lives mean they spend too much time apart.

She has now organised that they both phone their therapist and speak together for one hour each day.

A source said to UK newspaper Daily Mirror: “It’s been really bad timing for the couple. With only a few weeks to go until the big day, they’ve been spending more time apart than ever before.

“Russell’s doing 14-hour days on set, and Katy’s been in Europe and Australia working all sorts of hours.”

The source added: “Combine this with all the time differences and, as you can imagine, it’s been tough. Counselling was Katy’s idea.

“They both clear an hour in their schedules every day to have a conference call with a therapist, talking things over and making their bond as tight as possible.”

Comedian Russell Brand and fiancee Katy Perry are reportedly offering their fans the chance to win a place at their wedding.

The pair are rumoured to be getting married in India later this year and it is claimed they want to hold a competition for fans to try to win the opportunity to attend.

One of Brand’s pals said to UK newspaper Daily Star: “It started out as a joke, but now Katy and Russell are really into the idea.

“They want to have a competition so true fans will have a shot at winning a seat at the wedding.”

A spokesman for the star said: “Knowing Russell, anything’s likely. Nothing’s out of the question.”

Brit comedian Russell Brand has revealed he hated shooting sex scenes for his latest movie.

The star, a notorious ladies man, had to strip off in his new comedy Get Him To The Greek.

But he admitted to The Sun he found it “stressful” and “awkward”.

Brand, who is engaged to singer Katy Perry, said: “It’s actually sort of stressful. Not like actual sex, not as I know it. You’re standing with no pants, hunched over someone but without the lust.”

He even has a threesome in the film, a sequel to Forgetting Sarah Marshall. But he insisted: “It was awkward.”

Brand was also accidentally set on fire during filming, adding: “I stood in the wrong place.”

Russell Brand and Katy Perry have become engaged, according to a report out of the US.

The rogue lothario and American pop singer and daughter of Christian evangelists are reported engaged in a US magazine exclusive.

Brand was said to have popped the question the traditional way – with a ring.

The pair became engaged five days ago while on holiday in Jaipur, India. They have been keeping almost constant company in Los Angeles and London since hooking up at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

Perry has tweeted enthusiastically of their India trip, saying of the Taj Mahal: “He built this for me.”

The India trip, according to an insider, was a gift from Brand. “She told him how much she loved Indian culture while they were eating curry in England, so he surprised her,” the insider said.

A friend, meanwhile, has said: “[Perry has] never connected with anybody like this. [He] is super into her. She says he makes her laugh like nobody else in the world.”
