Demi Lovato is featured in a spread in the September 2011 issue of Elle magazine. In the accompanying interview, the 18-year old singer/actress spoke about her problems with tour mate Alex Welch, her breakup with Joe Jonas, being bullied as a child and being pictured with cutting marks, among other things. When asked about her ex-boyfriend Joe and whether he was the reason for her personal issues, Demi said “I wouldn’t credit my meltdown to a guy. There was so much other stuff in my life.” Honestly, we’ve seen how mature Demi has been through all of this. Why bring Joe into the picture still?

Demi Lovato is busy working on her first album post-rehab and so far, I’m hearing nothing but good things about it. The pop singer is fortunate enough to be working with super producers Timbaland and Sebastian on her upcoming disc, the latter of which has been on Twitter making updates on the album’s progress, much to the delight of fans. Recently, Sebastian teased that some special guests stopped by the session and that a super duet could be in the process. That got fans riled up and guessing on who it might be. Sebastian responded to one lucky fan, revealing some exciting news, tweeting “@AndreaLovesSwag u said justin bieber that is a very very good guess.” It could mean 2 things really. Demi will either duet with Justin or duet with his girlfriend and her best friend Selena Gomez. Which do you think it is?

Demi Lovato recently sat down for a live video chat with her fans, which was held at the Cambio Studios in Hollywood on Thursday. The 18-year old pop singer/actress was joined by her younger sister, “Desperate Housewives” actress Madison De La Garza. Earlier that day, Demi wrote on her Twitter “Yay! Can’t wait for my BIG-HUGE-INCREDIBLY-EXCITING announcement on my live chat today!!” If you didn’t manage to catch the live chat, the big news was that Demi announced that her new album will be dropping in stores on September 20. I can’t wait. I hope she has more songs that are along the lines of the very epic “Skyscraper”.

The song that talks about the healing of the beautiful Disney star Demi earned the support of fans around the world. But that’s not all. Selena Gomez (former?) best friend of the singer, has sent a message of encouragement to her on Twitter, as did other stars like Kim Kardashian and Lucy Hale. `I am very, very proud of Demi Lovato’s song, Skyscraper is incredible, beautiful and inspirational, ‘wrote Selena on the social site. She also released a video to this song, demonstrating her talent as an actress and her total dedication to the artistic act.

Demi Lovato recently premiered the music video for her new single “Skyscraper” via E! News. The track is the first official single from the singer/actress’ upcoming third studio album. Demi spoke to E! Online about what the video represents to her, saying “There were so many things that represented my addictions and eating disorders and self-harm. When I’m unraveling this black fabric…It was the toxicity took over my mind for so long, that oozed out of every pore that I had because I was suffering inside…I’m taking it off and walking on broken glass and powering through it.” The video is simple but beautiful. With such an emotional song as this, you don’t really need to make anything fancy. I love it!

Demi Lovato has a lot to be happy about these days. Not only is the singer/actress on the road to recovery but her latest single “Skyscraper” received a massive support from fans and rocketed straight to the top of the iTunes chart in the US. I really like the song. It’s the perfect powerful ballad for Demi’s voice and also delivers such a beautiful message. Even if you’re not a fan of her music, the sheer emotion that Demi put into the song will just pull you in. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM, Demi talked about recording the track, saying “I just sat there and I just cried my eyes out. I was almost doubled over in emotion it was crazy, and we finished the song and then I went through everything. And then I tried to rerecord it but it didn’t have that same emotion and I don’t know that same cry for help when I first recorded it.”

It looks like the teenage pop singing sensation aims pretty high when it comes to new girlfriends. Sources indicate that Justin Bieber recently had somewhat of a secret hook-up and that was with none other than Disney star Demi Lovato. Even more so, the source related that Justin Bieber acted surprisingly mature and was even surprised to know that he is a great kisser. He probably got a clean shot at wooing her with some of that French he kept bragging about at one point. It seems Demi Lovato’s tastes are for more old-fashioned game… what a lucky break for Justin Bieber.

Disney princess Demi Lovato told MTV News about showmanship, gossip sites and friends all in one story recently. She said “I fell at a show this one time. Actually, I’ve fallen several times — like, four times already. But this one time I fell, it was the only one that made Perez Hilton and YouTube. I didn’t think anything of it when it happened. I just laughed it off onstage. But the next day, I see that it hit the Internet, and I was like, ‘Nooooooo.’ It totally stung, because I wasn’t expecting it. But I didn’t get hurt, and Joe [Jonas] helped me out a lot with that. He made a ton of jokes about it.” Aww, how sweet.
