Ke$ha Cancels Concert for MTV
Ke$ha has decided to cancel her upcoming concert at White River State Park in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 23 so that she can prepare for her performance at the MTV World Stage show in Mexico. The pop singer apologized to her fans, saying “I am so sorry that I can’t party with you this time around. I was really pumped to cover your city in glitter.” I don’t really see why this is necessary. The performance for MTV will be pre-taped and will air later in September on MTV Latin America. It’s a shame she can’t find a way to please her fans and still prepare for a pre-taped performance.
No commentsNicki Minaj, fined for swearing on stage
Nicki Minaj received a fine she has to pay the police in Jamaica after a concert held during the Reggae Sumfest festival on Sunday, July 24th.
The singer made the mistake of swearing on the stage, violating this way the local laws on desecration.
Minaj was fined $ 1,000 Jamaicans dollars, that is about 11 U.S. dollars, for the deed committed.
Despite legislative issues, Nicki shown excitement about the Jamaican experience, expressing positive feelings on Twitter:
`I felt better than ever at Reggae Sumfest … Jamaica, I fell in love tonight ‘, tweeted Nicki on the social networking site.
Earlier this month, Nick received a slap in the face during a dispute at a hotel.

She delivered acoustic renditions of the songs that she was the original singer of and helped write such as “Coming Home”, “I Need a Doctor” and “Love the Way You Lie”. Once again, she did an awesome job.

Taylor Swift Reschedules More Dates
Taylor Swift has been feeling under the weather with a nasty throat illness which means that she’s in no shape to perform. A rep for the country singer released a statement on her Facebook saying “Just wanted to update you guys on Taylor’s health. She has bronchitis and although she is getting better, she has been advised by her doctor that she is not well enough to perform this week. Her concert dates in Charlotte and Atlanta have been rescheduled and she plans to resume the Speak Now tour in Montreal. Charlotte will now be November 16. Atlanta will now be October 1 & 2. Thank you for your concern!” It sucks for those eagerly awaiting her concert but Taylor needs to get better.
No commentsBritney Spears to Tour with Nicki Minaj
After Enrique Iglesias dropped off of Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale tour mere hours after they were announced as co-headliners, there’s been a lot of speculation as to who would be taking his place and if there would be any delays because of the last minute changes needed to be made. However, you can now rest easy as Nicki Minaj is officially set to perform alongside the pop singer as a special guest, with Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo as their opening acts. Britney said “This is the Femme Fatale tour and I’m thrilled to have the hot Nicki Minaj join me and Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo will get everyone on the dance floor. Can’t wait to take the Femme Fatales on the road.”
No commentsLauryn Hill Keeps Fans Waiting
Lauryn Hill kept fans waiting for three hours at her DC concert before she came out on stage. That’s not even the worst of it. Apparently, the reason why the R&B singer took so long is because she was waiting for her manicure and pedicure to dry. Her rep said “She’s sorry she kept her fans waiting, but couldn’t go out there looking busted!” They’re nails! I doubt anyone could see them even if they sat on the front row. I find it incredibly amazing that any of her fans stuck around that long. I say stay away from any of her concerts especially if you hear that she had her nails done.
No commentsBret Michaels might not be able to tour after all
It looks like the musician’s managers went a bit ahead of themselves when they announced that Bret Michaels would be rescheduling his tour dates. According to his doctor the situation is not really that simple and Bret Michaels will require further surveillance. This is what the singer’s doctor said about his condition: “If a patient survives the initial rupture, the first 7 to 10 days after are the most critical as an additional rupture or other complications may arise.” So the management might want to mellow down… they might end up refunding tickets if they keep pushing Bret Michaels like this.
No commentsLily Allen Collapses
Lily Allen can’t seem to make it through a performance or even a solid 24 hours before falling face down. After performing a set at Australia’s Big Day Out Festival this past weekend, the singer tumbled to the ground on the way to her car. Sources say that Lily was her usual drunken self while performing. Later, when she left and hit the ground, the same source says that her people had to recover from laughing before they helped her up again. I guess it’s just another day at work for those guys. Witnesses say that Lily didn’t look injured but that she did require some assistance getting into the car.

Andy Williams to be at the next Glastonbury
The singer has recently been booked by the festival’s organizer, Michael Eavis, to attend next year’s edition of the festival. Michael Eavis said the following about getting Andy Williams to play at Glastonbury: “The expectations are really high. We’re trying to get the best headliners in the world.” Apparently, tickets for the show sold in less than 24 hours after being put on sale. Either Andy Williams still has a great deal of old fans, or most people just don’t really care about the music and go there only for the name’s sake. After all, who could possibly want to go to a festival with no certain line-up?
