Method Man Expresses Remorse

August 13th, 2009 | Category: Concert Tour, Rapper

Method Man recently admitted to brutally shooting someone in the leg with a BB gun. But ironically, the incident has nothing to do with the lady who happens to be suing him for an alleged air gun attack back in 2008. In a video for VladTV.com, the rapper says that he accidentally “shot one of [his] people in the leg with a f***ing BB†while he was holding target practice on his tour bus a while back. He said that the BB broke through his friend’s skin and that there was “blood gushing out his damn leg.†Method Man claims that he felt really bad about the accident and that he is still apologizing to the guy up to now. I’m pretty sure that the lady who’s suing him is looking for more than just an apology.

Britney Spears walks out of show due to smoke

April 08th, 2009 | Category: Britney Spears, Concert Tour

britney-spears-perform
Britney Spears’s recent stunt at the GM Place in Vancouver should be taken as a pitch for the anti-smoking campaign. Britney Spears walked out of the stage right after she started her Circus Show. She was dressed in a ringleader costume with matching whip but when she removed the jacket she was clad only in a sparkling bra with bare midriff. The fans started to go wild and chanted “Britney! Britney” when the stage went dark. After a while it was announced that the performance will resume after the air clears since it is no longer comfortable and safe for the performers.

After a lot of booing and howling for 30 minutes Britney Spears appeared and sang “If U Seek Amy” as well as “Me Against the Music”. Britney closed the Circus show with “Womanizer” but not before telling the Vancouver crowd to stop smoking weed. That proved to be a very high profile campaign pitch not only against smoking but against smoking weed. Way to go Britney Spears!

Britney Spears’ long awaited tour:

March 05th, 2009 | Category: Britney Spears, Concert Tour

britney-spears-perform
The singer finally had the first show of her long-awaited tour was finally set in motion with the show at the New Orleans Arena on March 3rd. Britney Spears apparently did put on quite a show at a technical level, but she resorted to playback for most of the songs, and the only words she actually said in the whole show were these, spoken at the very end of the show: “Thank you New Orleans, I love u guys. Did y’all have a good time? Thank you so much.” Right, hell of a comeback for Britney Spears, songs that are “sung†in playback and just a few words at the end after such a long absence. If her fans let her get away with this, they should also be tarred and feathered.

Jennifer Hudson lip-syncs and then plans to go on tour

February 05th, 2009 | Category: Concert Tour, Jennifer Hudson, Super Bowl

jennifer-hudson
Jennifer Hudson has made what can be termed as a moderately successful return to singing and public life and that has given her the confidence to follow it up with a 6-week tour. Fans at the Super Bowl held on Sunday February 1, 2009 got the first glimpse of the singer after she went into hiding following her murders of her brother, mother and nephew last October.

Jennifer, an Oscar winner sang the US National Anthem in front of a sellout crowd but later it was found out that the organizers forced her to lip-sync the song and the crowd had no idea of that. Later her manager had made an announcement that she will undertake a 6-week tour starting at the end of March or early April.

If she lip-syncs again, I am outta here. No excuses. One’s gift for singing should enable one to express grief as well as a host of other strong feelings. The organizers should either have had complete faith in her abilities or let her sing her natural voice or then should not have allowed her on stage.

Such things could really jeopardize someone’s budding career but she’s been around for a while and that’s why the impact will be short lived if at all.
