August 05th, 2011 | Category: Concert, Concert Gig, Concert Tour, Kesha, Singer

Ke$ha has decided to cancel her upcoming concert at White River State Park in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 23 so that she can prepare for her performance at the MTV World Stage show in Mexico. The pop singer apologized to her fans, saying “I am so sorry that I can’t party with you this time around. I was really pumped to cover your city in glitter.” I don’t really see why this is necessary. The performance for MTV will be pre-taped and will air later in September on MTV Latin America. It’s a shame she can’t find a way to please her fans and still prepare for a pre-taped performance.

Beyonce’s performance wasn’t paid for by terrorists

January 11th, 2010 | Category: Beyonce, Concert Gig

There have been some rather embarrassing reports about Beyonce’s performance on New Year’s Eve. Apparently the performance was paid for by the Gaddafi family who are apparently known terrorist supporters. However, Beyonce’s representatives decided to eliminate all of this nonsense with the following statement: “The party in St. Bart’s on New Year’s Eve, with Beyoncé in performance, was hosted by Muatsim-Billah Gaddafi, not his brother Moutassim Bilal “Hannibal” Gaddafi, as reported in the press.” The press says tomato and Beyonce’s agents say… well, tamato. That really cleared things up didn’t it? Now there is no further doubt as to who Beyonce gets her salary from.

Givenchy spokeswoman Caroline Deroche-Pasquier revealed Givenchy Haute Couture has made the 49-year-old pop superstar two outfits.

It is believed Madonna will wear one of the Givenchy ensembles when she opens the show.

Tisci, who is renowned for his gothic influence and use of dark fabrics, is delighted to be working with Madonna.

He said: “I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to offer the world of Givenchy Haute Couture to Madonna the Icon, the Artist, the Woman for whom I have so much respect and admiration.”

The first outfit – said to have a ‘Gangster Pimp’ influence – features a black satin coat trimmed with jet beads and a black satin waistcoat with a corseted back.

Tisci’s second creation – which has a ‘Gypsy’ theme – consists of a long hooded taffeta cape with a fuchsia lining and a black dress with multi-coloured ribbons and pink metal chains.

The Jonas Brothers Mania Still On

July 08th, 2008 | Category: Concert Gig, Jonas Brothers, Music Band

The Jonas Brothers performed at the HMV music store on Oxford Street in London on Friday. The band of brothers recently took to their blog about their experience at the store. They said “It was fun to see the people from the label there with their mouths wide open and their hands over their ears. The shouts were so loud. We signed for 300 people that waited in line. They told us that there were a lot of people that had been in line since the day before. The wristbands were gone in 30 minutes. As we were leaving there was a group of girls running after our vehicles. It will never grow old to us to see hundreds of screaming fans chasing our car AND the looks on the faces of people when our fans come around the corner running after our cars screaming.

Sad Lily’s tribute to Nana Allen

July 08th, 2008 | Category: Concert Gig, Lily Allen

Lily Allen fought back the tears during her appearance at Glastonbury this weekend, taking to the stage just hours after her beloved grandmother passed away.

Allen’s appearance was put into jeopardy following the terrible news that Nana Allen – mother of Lily’s actor father Keith- had passed away on Saturday evening. But Allen surprised organisers by keeping her promise to sing at the festival and appeared in an emotional state as she took to the stage.

Joining Mark Ronson to perform Littlest Things, a visibly moved Lily said: “My Nana Allen died last night. This is for Nana Allen. I love you.”

She clutched copies of her lyrics and explained she had forgotten them.
