Ne-Yo is set to tie the knot with girlfriend Monyetta Shaw, and the two are also expecting their second child. A rep for the 31-year old R&B singer confirmed the news to Us Weekly, while a source told the magazine that the family’s newest addition is due next month. Ne-Yo and Monyetta, who owns a boutique in Atlanta, Georgia, welcomed their first daughter Madilyn Grace back in November of last year. Congratulations to the newly engaged couple and the happy parents! I guess it would be safe to assume that the wedding will go down after their second child is born.

It’s been 10 years since the tragic death of Aaliyah. The R&B singer died in a small plane crash in the Bahamas on August 25, 2001. Damon Dash, her boyfriend at the time of her death, remembers her and how unbelievably heartbreaking it was for him when she passed away. He said “My heart was broken. Nothing prepares you for that. She was intelligent and she caught me. I’m the kind of guy who says things sometimes just to make myself laugh, but she would just catch me making jokes for me. I couldn’t get anything past her. She had a very quick mind and a very kind heart. Our time together meant so much that when we got more time, we felt like that [engagement] would be next. She was one of the best people I ever met. Even with the pain I felt, I would do it all over again.” I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. She was such a beautiful soul and a tremendous talent. She definitely left way too soon.

Lady Antebellum lead singer Hillary Scott is set to marry drummer Chris Tyrell. People is reporting that the 25-year old country star and the 24-year old musician got engaged over the 4th of July weekend in Tennessee. Hillary told the magazine “Chris proposed exactly the way I’ve always dreamed. Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!” Congratulations to the happy couple!

Jason Mraz and his fiancé, Tristan Prettyman, have decided to break off their engagement. The 33-year old singer told The Daily Beast “My greatest mistake right now is, I’ve been clinging to my art. In that, I have victory for my art and a great loss for my heart. At the moment, my beautiful fiancé is no longer my beautiful fiancé. In my relationship, I was giving myself away to make the relationship better, but in actuality, wasn’t doing better by doing that. I became less of a man. We are still super friends, we go to yoga together, we surf together. We acknowledge the journey that each of us is on. We certainly want each of us to feel whole and complete. And it’s when you’re whole and complete that that attraction exists and it really thrives.” It doesn’t sound like it’s the end for both of them so maybe they can try again somewhere down the road.

It seems the singer and producer doesn’t spare anything when comes to making something special. Apparently Mark Ronson went to some lengths to make sure that his proposal to his girlfriend, Josephina de la Baume would go well, even going so far as to design the engagement ring himself. Former Hills star Kristin Cavallari has admitted that when her Chicago Bears hunk Jay Cutler proposed to her over the Easter Weekend, it came as a bit of a surprise. Speaking at last night’s Hollywood premiere of Kate Hudson’s new flick Something Borrowed, she told US Weekly magazine: "I kind of knew it was coming. But I was definitely very surprised." Kristin said she knew right away that Jay, 28, was ‘the one’. She added: "I think that we both knew right away that it was very different and very special." The Girls Aloud singer who recently celebrated her engagement to DJ Tom Crane apparently sure knows how to throw a party since the one for her engagement lasted over two days. This is what one of the participants had to relate about Sarah Harding’s big party: “Most people who attended were clever enough to book the whole week off. Sarah knows how to throw a good knees-up so everyone prepared for a wild night. We were still up at 2pm the day after singing karaoke in her hotel room.” Well it’s a good thing that Sarah Harding decided to party now while she still can… married life doesn’t usually afford that luxury.

Kate Moss has reportedly agreed to marry her rock star boyfriend Jamie Hince. The 37-year-old supermodel’s boyfriend of three-years is believed to have popped the question in bed on Tuesday after Kate had turned out the lights. He presented her with a vintage 1920s engagement ring and followed it up by asking her parents for her hand in marriage. According to The Sun, they plan to tie the knot on July 2, with Kate’s daughter Lila, eight, as chief bridesmaid. A source close to the couple told the newspaper, “Kate is delighted. Jamie is the man for her – they are soul mates. She just wanted to make him work for her hand in marriage. “He has been badgering her to get married but she wanted to take her time. “Over the last year they have grown so close, they are like man and wife. “They’re going to have the mother of all weddings. It will be a huge party, one of the biggest she has ever thrown and she’s thrown a few.”

The He’s Just Not That Into You star recently got engaged to actor Joey Kern, and the actress could not hide her joy as she showed off her ring. “I’m psyched!” she told Fallon, adding: “I’ll always have a date! Sources reveal that Sam popped the question on their hotel balcony at sunset. A source said “It has been a terrible time for Lily and Sam, but they are totally in love with one another. It all came out of the blue – but Lily was overwhelmed and they are both overjoyed. They can look to the future now. It seems that the singer has finally gotten herself taken off of the market. There have been some sources reporting that Shania Twain has been seen with a pretty impressive engagement ring on her finger recently, which can only mean that she got engaged to Frederic Thiebaud. They were probably waiting on this one for some time now since Shania Twain’s divorce only got over and done with this summer. Maybe her new marriage will go a little better than her previous, though fifteen years is not a too bad track record. If Shania Twain manages to beat it, she can retire happily.

Although she once said that she had no plans to get married, reports are surfacing that Lily Allen has gotten engaged to her boyfriend Sam Cooper. A friend of the singer said “Everyone’s so proud of Lily. She’s made a list of how to get through what can only be described as a horrible tragedy. This is the most awful situation in the world and she’s aware that nothing can take away the hurt she feels at losing her and Sam’s baby. Last week, Sam told Lily he can’t live without her and wants to go ahead with the wedding plans. It was always the plan that they’d marry at some point but this has given her a major boost. Lily’s been in a dark place but she’s slowly rebuilding from the shock. She told Sam she needs time to heal but she’s not letting herself die of a broken heart. He’s been very supportive but he’s hurting like hell as too, so they had a long heart-to-heart and have planned a holiday somewhere quiet. Lily’s a fighter and says if she can get through this, she can get through anything.”

It looks like the singer isn’t going to waste any time in fulfilling all of the prerequisites for getting married. After announcing her engagement last week, Jessica Simpson’s mother threw her daughter an engagement party on Saturday. This is what a source related of the event: “Jessica and Eric looked so happy. At one point, she asked one of the servers what she thought of the ring. When the server said it was beautiful, Jessica snapped, ‘You don’t mean that! Jessica is in love and kept talking about her wedding plans and new life with Eric.” It’s good to see that Jessica Simpson is so loose about the whole thing and not stressed out at all. She probably pokes at the underlings just for fun.

Actress Kristen Bell said being engaged hasn’t changed her and she is really excited about her wedding. Bell, 30, got engaged to actor Dax Shepard earlier this year and admitted she can’t wait to get wed. She said to UK newspaper Metro: “I am very excited. Being engaged hasn’t really changed me but being married, when you have a fight you’re going to actually have to make up, so that’s what will be different. “Well, we have to do that now. We live together. When you live with somebody, as long as you’re listening to the other person I think you can sort it out. I think it’s all about respecting the other person. “We get along so well. He always makes me laugh. It’s important to know that your partner can also be your best friend, so I feel very lucky. “My relationship hasn’t changed being engaged and I don’t think it’s going to change when I get married.”

True Blood star Joe Manganiello has got engaged, according to reports. The 33-year-old actor reportedly asked his girlfriend, actress-model Audra Marie, to marry him while they were on holiday in Italy. Manganiello, who plays hot werewolf Alcide Herveaux in the vampire drama series, met Marie in 2009 at a Super Bowl party, but he had to persuade her to go out with him. He has previously told People.com: “She just wouldn’t go out with me for six months. “We started dating a few months before I got cast [on True Blood].” The pair have yet to set a date for the wedding.
