While appearing on The Late Show on Monday, Nicole Richie announced that she was officially engaged to her baby daddy Joel Madden. A source said “Nicole and Joel are in the process of planning the wedding. She’s very involved in every detail. She’s thrilled.” Nicole even went on her Twitter to confirm the engagement saying “Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same.” I had a feeling that it wasn’t really a new thing. They must have wanted to wait on delivering the news until they were completely sure.

Supermodel Kate Moss’s boyfriend Jamie Hince is reportedly waiting for her to pop the question.

Recent reports have suggested that Hince, 40, and Moss were set to tie the knot after he proposed on her 36th birthday.

But Hince has since laughed off the rumours.

A close friend of the rock star said: “He has asked Kate to marry him several times.

“Everyone around them knows he’s crazy about her and would marry her in a second.”

The pal added: “He flew out to meet her in Mustique and did ask her to marry him again, but she hasn’t given him a ‘Yes’ yet.”

According to the source, Moss won’t marry The Kills guitarist until she feels the time is right.

The friend said: “Kate told him one day she will surprise him by turning around and asking him to elope.

“But like everything with Kate, it has to be on her terms, when she feels the time is right. Kate never follows the rules, she’ll always do what suits her, so she’s just keeping Jamie hanging on at the moment.”

Michael Buble recently got engaged as the singer proposed to his Argentina-born girlfriend Luisana Lopilato, who he met at a 2008 concert in Buenos Aires. A close friend shared some details of the proposal saying “He proposed in Argentina, in front of Lu’s whole family. They both cried — they’re ecstatic.” Michael then whisked her off to Hawaii. The source continued “He was introducing Lu to everyone in the restaurant, proudly proclaiming, ‘We’re engaged’. He was so happy to show her off. The next day Michael was sad because he had to put Lu on a private plane to Buenos Aires — she stars in an Argentine TV soap opera and she had to be on set. But she’ll be back in Vancouver or Los Angeles with him in a few weeks.”

The rogue lothario and American pop singer and daughter of Christian evangelists are reported engaged in a US magazine exclusive.

Brand was said to have popped the question the traditional way – with a ring.

The pair became engaged five days ago while on holiday in Jaipur, India. They have been keeping almost constant company in Los Angeles and London since hooking up at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

Perry has tweeted enthusiastically of their India trip, saying of the Taj Mahal: “He built this for me.”

The India trip, according to an insider, was a gift from Brand. “She told him how much she loved Indian culture while they were eating curry in England, so he surprised her,” the insider said.

A friend, meanwhile, has said: “[Perry has] never connected with anybody like this. [He] is super into her. She says he makes her laugh like nobody else in the world.”

Russell Brand has proposed to girlfriend Katy Perry, according to UK reports.

The Brit comedian popped the question to the I Kissed A Girl singer during a pre-Christmas get-together in the UK.

After happily accepting his proposal, Perry later jetted back to the US while Brand stayed in London.

Now reports claim the happy couple are set to tie the knot – once Brand has found her the perfect ring.

One source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Russell knows Katy’s the one for him.

“He’s never been into a girl like he has with her and they’re besotted. He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes.

“They don’t know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if their schedules can work.

“Russell is searching for a jewellery designer to make up a ring in time for New Year.

“Katy’s thrilled with Russell and how he is making so much effort. Russell also has the approval of Katy’s parents and everyone in the pair’s close circle know about the engagement.”

The singer has been acting very odd lately and now we are given the reason to suspect why. It seems Robbie Williams wants to go on ahead and propose to his girlfriend, Ayda Field. Of course, Robbie Williams didn’t give a certain answer… when does he ever, but he did hint toward it when asked about the matter: “I might be. It could be on the cards… yeah.” So this is what’s been keeping him from engaging in his usual artistic duties. Charmed actress Rose McGowan has reportedly called off her engagement with director Robert Rodriguez.

Rose, 36, recently filmed a role in the Rodriguez-directed flick Machete, which also stars Lindsay Lohan, Robert De Niro and Jessica Alba.

The couple announced their engagement in October 2007 after meeting on the set of Grindhouse in 2006, which Robert directed and Rose played a stripper with a machine-gun leg.

Away We Go star John Krasinski has opened up about proposing to girlfriend Emily Blunt.

John, 29, announced his engagement to British actress Emily, 26, in August and he has now spoken out about the way he proposed to the Devil Wears Prada star.

He said: “We were here in LA and there were unicorns and oceans and clouds. She said yes!”

The actor, who also plays Jim in the NBC show The Office, added: “It was very casual. I was nervous and the whole nine yards. She did cry after I cried and we cried and they everyone around us was crying.

“Then, I think people weren’t really sure what was going on, but they were crying because we were crying. But it was great. At the end of the day, she said yes which is great. It’s a big part of this whole thing.”

The couple started dating in November 2008 and although they haven’t set a date, starting a family is also a step that is a long way off.

He said: “Not soon. I think we’re going to take our time with that, hopefully.”

Kevin Jonas, the eldest of the Jonas Brothers, is now officially off the market. The 21-year old singer recently got engaged to marry his girlfriend of 2 years, Danielle. Something must be in the air as Natasha Bedinfield, the British singer of ‘The Hills’ theme song ‘Unwritten’ has just gotten engaged to her American boyfriend of two years, businessman Matthew Robinson. She revealed the news at the Calvin Klein Fashion Week event last weekend. Natasha told the media present that “It just happened. But I am so excited, and it happened in New York. And I want to share it with the world.” She also admitted that she’s ready to start a family. I don’t think Hollywood can handle any more of the baby rush. Who isn’t having a kid these days? Star magazine is reporting that Diddy has proposed to his girlfriend, singer Cassie. A source told the magazine “He told everyone to keep it extremely quiet because he didn’t want it to get out, but you could tell he was excited. Diddy said they hadn’t set a date yet, but he wanted his family to hear the news first.” The couple met after Diddy signed Cassie to his label back in 2006. She’s 17 years younger than the music mogul. I don’t think this story is true though. I don’t see the father of six as the type to really settle down.
