Lily Allen is Sober for Now

British singer Lily Allen is getting geared up for the release of her second album and in a recent interview with UKâs Observer, Lily revealed that she is off the sauce and drugs. Gee, I wonder how long that will last. Lily also revealed that she hasnât had a drink since the end of September. Maybe thatâs why she was nice to Britney Spears and hasnât been making an ass of herself lately. Apparently, Lily wasnât too pleased when she got portrayed as a drunk in a comic book. Lily did say that sheâs not completely swearing off the stuff saying âI have no intention of taking drugs again at the moment. But I can’t say ‘Never again,’ because I don’t know where I’ll be in 10 years’ time. And I will definitely drink in the future, just not for awhile.â
No commentsKelly Clarkson has reportedly finished recording her fourth album

Kelly Clarkson has reportedly finished recording her fourth album and her new single is said to be called âMy Life Would Suck Without Youâ. Producer Dr. Luke told EW that she will be back with a new song as early as next month. He also said âThis one, which I think is the first single, we had the chorus a while ago and added the verse more recently. They were going to have it out on Nov. 20, but it just got too late. So now theyâre thinking Dec. 8 for a worldwide release, but I wouldnât be surprised if that ends up being early January.â
No commentsUK to witness Britney Spears perform
Britney Spears will be perform in the UK abet on a TV show and not live of stage as of now. She will however perform live on stage in June of 2009. Iâm sure her fans in England would love to see her perform live much sooner.
It would be safe to say that she is well on course for a full and successful comeback now and the miseries of the last 2 years are well behind her now and hopefully it stays like that. I was complete rubbish from her during that period and everyday celebrity news consisted of her involved in a mishap or something awful.
Spears, it is said will be singing her new song âWomanizerâ on TV, a song which she has recorded as part of her soon to be released album âCricusâ.
If this album manages to succeed the way her previous album have then it would surely put her back on the path of being called amongst the greatest modern artists of her time.
Cheers to her successful comeback.
New Alvin and the Chipmunks
Drew Seeley teamed up with Alvin, Simon and Theodore on the new and upbeat version of the song âShake Your Groove Thingâ which was originally sang by vocalist duo Peaches & Herb. Collaborating with Alvin and the Chipmunks, the new rendition of the high-energy dance track is one of four new original songs that are featured on a new Chipmunks CD. The album is called âUndeniableâ and it has already hit stores this past November 4th. The CD also has all of your all time favorite Alvin and the Chipmunks classics. No commentsMiley Cyrus Hovers
Miley Cyrus has a fun collaboration in the works with her older half-brother Trace Cyrus who happens to be the front man for Metro Station. Trace tells PopEater that â[We] worked on a song together called âHoveringâ. [Miley] just informed me that we might do a music video for that and push towards alternative radio. Itâs kind of a more rock, edgy song for her, but I love the song. Itâs great.â Letâs hope that what he said of the song rings true because otherwise, it will just be another reason for me to call Miley a poser. âHoveringâ will be featured on the platinum-edition of Mileyâs âBreakoutâ album which is due to drop in stores on November 18th.

New Fall Out Boy

Their new album may have been pushed back until December 16th but you can still listen to a new song from Fall Out Boyâs new album âFolie a Deuxâ. The song âWhat a Catch, Donnieâ is a beautiful anthem ballad about life and finding acceptance. It really reminds me of an Elton John song. Iâm not sure if itâs going to be a single but I think it should. The song features a lot of other musicians including Panic at the Discoâs Brendon Urie, Cobra Starshipâs Gabe Saporta, The Academy Isâ William Beckett, Gym Class Heroesâ Travis McCoy singing a couple of Fall Out Boyâs classic songs towards the end. Elvis Costello is also featured on the song.

Their schedule was packed in Madrid! I hope they had some time to see some sights or even to just relax.

Pink Reaches Number One With “So What”
This week, singer/songwriter P!nk ascends to the number one position on the U.S. singles chart with her smash hit, âSo What.â The irresistible rocking single tops Billboardâs âHot 100 Singles,â âHot Digital Songsâ and âHot Digital Tracksâ charts, and is the number one radio airplay gainer for four weeks in a row, making it one of the top 10 most played songs at CHR radio stations. The David Meyers directed video is currently in rotation on VH-1, Fuse, Music Choice, and is one of the top ten videos on MTV.
âSo Whatâ was co-written by P!nk and produced by collaborator Max Martin, who worked with her on âWho Knewâ and âU + Ur Hand.â The New York Times describes the first single from her forthcoming album, Funhouse, as âguitar-charged and aggressively bouncy.â Funhouse is her fifth studio effort and is slated for release on October 28th.
No commentsPCD Album Full of Solo Material

Nicole Scherzinger recently talked to HX magazine about her long-delayed solo album. She said âDespite what other people might write, it was my decision, ultimately. I actually put some of my solo songs on this Pussycat Dolls album. Everything is all about timing. I believe it will come out next year, and it will be able to coexist wonderfully with the Dolls album. Itâs completely separate from what youâve heard with âBaby Loveâ and âWhatever U Like,â and Iâm still working on itâthatâs what happens when youâre a perfectionist. But Iâm excited because you do only get one chance to put out your first solo album, and it will only come out when I feel like itâs ready.â
No commentsJessica Simpson is Hopeless
Jessica Simpson hosted a listening party in Nashville for her new country album âDo You Knowâ last week. She said to the crowd, who were mostly from the industry, that âI’m a little nervous. If I throw up, I’m sorry.â I think the more appropriate comment was that if the crowd threw up, she was sorry. Hereâs something on the juicy side though, before the song âSippinâ on Historyâ, the blonde bombshell said âIt’s about a relationship in my life that could have been a fairy tale, but wasn’t.â I wonder which relationship sheâs talking about, the one with Nick Lachey or John Mayer or Dane Cook.
