This is what a source said about the event: “Around midnight on June 25, Carrie landed at Las Vegas’ Lavo nightclub with about eight girlfriends. She was wearing a mini-dress and a sash that said ‘bachelorette. It wasn’t a rowdy bachelorette party. No shots or singing or anything like that. It was just a group of girls dancing and having fun!” That’s all? Why have a party in Las Vegas if you’re not going to go crazy? Mena Suvari and Simone Sestito’s wedding in Rome was “very traditional and romantic”, the couple has revealed.
They say they chose Rome because it “is the true city of romance, and to be able to wed in the Eternal City is all we could have asked for this occasion”.
Suvari and Sestito were married in an 8th-century church in Vatican City before celebrating their union with a reception at the same 15th-century castle in nearby Bracciano that played host to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’s wedding in 2006.
The actress walked down the aisle to a quartet, organist and soprano, and was wearing an Alice + Olivia dress, People.com reports.
The pair exchanged white-gold wedding bands designed by the 25-year-old concert producer groom, and guests dined on risotto, raviolini and veal carré dishes. The evening’s festivities included a fireworks display.
The newlyweds will spend their honeymoon travelling around Italy.
