Actress Cate Blanchett reveals hubbys career advice
Elizabeth star Cate Blanchett has revealed that she loves her husband’s honesty – but not his career predictions.
The Australian actress said that her playwright husband Andrew Upton once warned her that she would struggle to keep getting work.
She told W magazine: “I remember him saying to me after I made Elizabeth in 1998, ‘Sweetheart, you’ve probably got about five years [left].’”
She added: “He was preparing me for the time when the work dries up.”
Clearly her hubby was off the mark, as Blanchett is currently starring as Maid Marian alongside Russell Crowe in Robin Hood.
