Actor Ryan Phillippe says he has a new rule for dating: “Nobody with a publicist.”

The actor, who was married to Reese Witherspoon and has since dated actress Abbie Cornish, revealed he was looking for love again as he spoke to US shock jock Howard Stern.

He said: “I have a new rule not to date anyone who has a publicist.”

Phillippe told Stern on Sirius XM radio that he was not happy with the way Cornish publicly announced their breakup in February.

“Who announces a breakup?” he said. “I don’t understand that! There’s no need for that.”

The actor also complained he has a bad image in the press ever since his divorce from Reese Witherspoon.

“I’ve been dumped on in the press for relationship stuff since Reese and I divorced,” he said.

“I’m tired of getting s*** on. I don’t feel like I deserve it. Things happen.”

Phillippe is set to host long-running US comedy show Saturday Night Live this weekend.

Jim Carrey has again tried to close the lid on his controversial tweets about the Tiger Woods sex scandal saying: “I wish every human being nothing but love.”

The comedian’s uncharacteristic comments hit the headlines when he suggested Tiger Wood’s wife Elin must have known about her husband’s affairs.

He apologised on Twitter but apparently felt he needed to say more.

In a new statement, the actor said: “To anyone whose grievances have chosen me as their cause, I would say first, that I recognise that tendency in myself, but if you knew me well, you’d see that your resentment has been misplaced.

“I wish every human being nothing but love and immeasurable happiness. Now, I’m going to re-enter the Twitter stream and see if there is anyone left to offend.”

Carrey sparked the controversy when he tweeted: “Elin had [to be] a willing participant on the ride [for] whatever reason.”

After his remarks sparked the backlash, he stated: “I want 2 make it CLEAR that I do not condone infidelity at all, but 2 some degree the responsibility 4 it is shared by both people.”

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has finally admitted she loves her boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson.

The couple only recently confirmed they were dating after months of intense speculation.

They met on the set of the hit movie where Stewart played mortal Bella Swan and Brit hunk Pattinson played vampire Edward Cullen.

They only confirmed their romance when Pattinson revealed at a post-BAFTAs dinner earlier this year: “It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans, it goes crazy.”

But now Stewart has also finally commented on their romance, with OK! magazine reporting she said: “I love Rob because he always wants to be the best.

“Rob is sexy, in a tortured artist way. This might be because he is British. He’s tall, looks like he is thinking all the time and is incredibly funny.

“I love the way he sings. It breaks my heart. Rob’s also a very bad liar, he just can’t do it!”

The actress also claims Pattinson once proposed to her for a joke, adding: “He asked me to marry him.

“As a joke, though. Well at least I think so.”

James Van Der Beek is going to be a daddy.

The Dawson’s Creek star and his girlfriend, business consultant Kimberly Brook, are expecting their first child.

The 33-year-old actor announced the happy news via his Twitter page.

He Tweeted: “Yes, it’s true – the woman I love and I are expecting our first child. Currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed.”

Van Der Beek – star of the new NBC drama Mercy – began dating Brook last July after his six-year marriage to actress Heather McComb ended.

Funnyman Tracy Morgan choked up as he talked about his love for close friend Tina Fey.

“She’s my friend,” Morgan told Oprah Winfrey of the comedienne who cast him in her hit TV show 30 Rock.

“Tina’s my friend. I love her,” he said, his voice cracking with emotion. “I love her. I love that girl, man.”

He also had a theory for why she “got me”. “Tina partied with me, so she knew – ‘This dude is cool, he’s funny, and he’s having a good time so let’s put it in the script’,” he said.

He also spoke of his love for another – his interviewer, “Oprah Morgan” as he called her. “I love you Oprah,” he said.

Later, asked what he looks for in a woman, he carried on the joke, quipping: “It helps if she has her own talk show, I know that.”

Model Kate Moss is being taken to the British library by boyfriend Jamie Hince who reportedly believes she doesn’t know enough about culture.

Hince, 40, who is a member of band The Kills, is planning to take Moss, 36, to the historical venue to try and improve her knowledge.

A source told UK newspaper Daily Star: “Jamie’s life isn’t all about partying. He’s pretentious about his intelligence and has an A-level in English Literature.

“He wants Kate to become more cultured. He’s encouraged her to start reading the Harry Potter books and so far she’s loving it.”

Williams has had a complete makeover and sports a new sleek Cleopatra do. She wore the chunky heels that are all the rage in the US and London. She later told her Twitter following: “Wearing the highest heels ever crazy!!!”

Common, aka Lonnie Rashid Lynn, 38, plays a detective in the new flick. Other celeb wattage in attendance included Date Night star Tina Fey, Steve Carrell, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman and Jane Krakowski.

Tori Spelling affirmed her commitment to husband Dean McDermott amid a swirl of rumours the couple was experiencing marriage difficulties.

The reality TV stars of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood are just like any other couple, Spelling told the Today show on Monday.

“We have fights. We have our ups and downs. It’s a real relationship,” Spelling said. “Some issues have come up this season and the cameras were there to capture it. I’m happy to put that out there to my fans. We’re a normal, relatable couple and things happen.”

The show, she said, records the normal blips of married life as part of its reality television approach. “We do a reality show and I signed up for this. I said I’m going to put it all out there because otherwise I don’t believe in doing it. We’re not headed for divorce. We’re committed to each other. We’re committed to this family, but we work on everything just like everyone else.”

Spelling, in an interesting aside, held back from praising a recent reunion with her mother, Candy. Noting her children were taken with their grandmother, she plainly said the pair was “working on improving their relationship”.

Sugar Ray star Mark McGrath is engaged to girlfriend Carin Kingsland and has revealed they are expecting twins.

McGrath, 42, has revealed that he is expecting a boy and girl with Kingsland next month.

He said to PEOPLE: “I’m so excited. My DNA paranoia is kicking in: I’ve got to feed these children. We’ve got to get the nursery together. And what do you do when you bring the kids home?

“Most parents are like: ‘Oh, the wonders of child rearing.’ But we’re freaking out! The first year is going to be gnarly.”

McGrath added that it was a “surreal” moment when the doctors not only confirmed Kingsland was pregnant with IVF but expecting two new arrivals.

He added: “I love them already, but I need them to come out so I can really shower them with love.”

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she has a “mean” side and can “harbour revenge”, according to reports.

The Iron Man star, 37, cast off her clean-cut image in a recent interview with British Vogue magazine.

She said: “Oh yes, I can be mean… I can ice people out and I can definitely harbour revenge. In fact, I’m having a situation right now with a friend where I’m feeling pretty angry.

“But revenge is corrosive and it doesn’t make me feel good. I’ll wake up in the morning and think, ‘Ugh, I feel terrible’. And suddenly realise, ‘Ah, that’s why – I’m holding onto so much hate.’”

Paltrow also revealed that she is setting up her own exercise studio with Madonna’s former trainer Tracy Anderson, which is due to open in London later this year.

Simon Cowell won’t wed until 2011 – to help him best promote his new X-Factor show in the US, it has been claimed.

The music mogul is engaged to 36-year-old make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy.

It had been thought the pair would walk down the aisle later this year. But now sources say the marriage will be delayed until it coincides with a publicity drive for X-Factor.

A source told CBS News: “Expect no wedding this year at all – 2011 is the year of Simon in the US, and he will pull out all the stops needed to become an even bigger success.

“[Cowell] is the king of spin and knows that a great love story will help sell the US version of ['X-Factor'].”

Cowell, 50, will quit American Idol when the current series ends, and get to work on launching X-Factor. It is set to begin in September 2011.

He will serve as a judge on both the American and the UK versions, according to reports.

Another insider said: “He knows that his own show has to be a success. It has to be bigger than even ‘Idol’ and with his magic touch on shows, he is taking no chances.”

A representative for Cowell was unavailable for comment.

Cowell is reportedly set to spend a whopping £65,000 on a Jaguar XK convertible for make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy.

American Idol judge Cowell, who is set to marry Mezghan later this year, has been spotted in Los Angeles, looking around car showrooms.

It is believed he has been looking at classic cars ready for her 37th birthday.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Money is clearly no object, but he’s considering buying her something that little bit special. He’s obviously a big fan of cars but she is, too.”

Cowell – who is also known for being vain – recently bought her a joke his-and-hers diamond encrusted mirror for £7,000.

The source added: “Simon also has a wicked sense of humour and decided to present her with a mirror so they could both check their reflections. It’s a running joke between them.”

But the source revealed that Cowell, who is taking his popular X-Factor to the US, also constantly buys Mezghan smaller romantic gifts.

The source said: “Red roses, French lingerie, Prada bags, you name it. He gives her something new practically every day. One particularly sweet surprise was private his-and-hers Swedish massages in their London hotel room.”

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi had a bumpy ride when they rode the Hollywood Rockit rollercoaster at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

While DeGeneres, 52, screamed throughout and held her head in her hands, 37-year-old de Rossi squealed with delight.

The hilarious video was shown on DeGeneres’s chat show as she broadcast her programme from the theme park.

Peaches Geldof has reportedly turned to religion after recent sex-and-drugs claims surfaced about her.

The 21-year-old was left shocked when a man posted topless pictures of her on the internet and claimed they had a heroin-fuelled one-night-stand.

Since the pictures surfaced, she lost a lucrative lingerie deal with underwear brand Ultimo.

She has reportedly become involved in the Jewish faith and has taken part in The Passover Seder, which is a feast that happens each year.

Geldof reportedly attended the dinner with her new actor boyfriend, Eli Roth, 37.

A pal said to UK newspaper Daily Star: “She has a spiritual side and loves exploring the possibilities of all beliefs. She was excited to celebrate her first seder with Eli and his father.”

Geldof has previously expressed an interest in the religion and had said: “I’ve been one for a while. I was confused and needed a spiritual path. I felt I was lacking something when I didn’t have a faith.

“In the end, all it’s about is making yourself a better person.”
