Kate Hudson is visiting Aspen to spend time with girlfriends in an attempt to get over Alex Rodriguez, according to reports.

Sources say the actress is surrounding herself with her gal pals rather than moving on to the next guy she sees.

“Kate is a serial dater, but it seems like she wants to take some time off and just be with her girlfriends,” a source said.

Over the weekend, Kate was spotted shopping in Ralph Lauren with Elle Macpherson and was later seen grabbing ice cream at Paradise Bakery across the street.

And according to reports, her New Year’s Eve plans were ruined by the sudden break-up. A source says: “They were both scheduled to appear together at several bashes. Obviously that’s not happening now as she cancelled. She cancelled everything. She’s not going to Miami at all.”

Meanwhile, insiders say the split from Kate hasn’t stopped A-Rod’s partying ways. “Alex is probably still going, and no doubt will be flirting up a storm – as he usually does,” says the source.

Jude Law got Sienna Miller’s consent for a romantic-yet-family getaway with his kids on one proviso.

The UK Mirror claims Miller was so concerned not to have a replay of her past break-up with Law, when he cheated on her with a nanny, that she laid down the terms for their lovely island holiday.

A source said: “Haunted by what happened the last time they were together, Sienna is leaving nothing to chance second time around. She wants her and Jude to work on their friendship first and foremost, and then see if love blossoms. But by the same token, she doesn’t want any reminders of his infidelity. So she’s made sure the children’s nanny has returned to England before she joins Jude on holiday in Bequia, from Barbados.”

The pair has been seen making a delightful family circle with Law’s children from his former marriage to Sadie Frost, who in turn was said to be miffed at being left out of the traditional family get together.

The source continued: “Sienna wants it to be just her and the family, and for them to have a quiet, low-key celebration together.”

Jude Law’s ex-wife Sadie Frost has split with her boyfriend Andy Jones, who she deemed too unpolished to hang out with her A-lister crowd, according to the UK Sun.

A source said: “Sadie is upset but Andy was too green to hang around the Primrose Hill set. Every time he met Kate Moss or Jude he got starstruck and tried to impress them. Knowing [Jude] is rekindling his romance with Sienna is not helping.”

Law, meanwhile, was spotted holidaying in the Caribbean with his ex-fiancée Sienna Miller and his kids by Frost.

Frost, who traditionally accompanied the group on family breaks, was reported miffed to have been left out of the getaway. Law was said to have invited her but held back on paying for what would be a costly trip.

Christina Ricci’s new boyfriend Curtis Buchanan is very much still on the scene as they have been spotted kissing.

The actress was seen in a public display of affection with her tattooed photographer boyfriend of five months, before she shopped for groceries at Gelson’s Market in Los Angeles.

Buchanan has been keeping a fairly low profile since stepping out with the 29-year-old Sleepy Hollow actress. He accompanied her to a car launch earlier this month, but has let her walk the red carpet alone on other occasions, with plenty of interest in their relationship after they spent a break in Miami in October.

Meanwhile, Ricci is starring in a new short film for designer Donna Karan, where she plays four characters in the advert for a new handbag, which can be worn four ways.

She said: “I have been a long term devotee of Donna Karan. This was the perfect opportunity for me to work with a wonderful new director, wear amazing pieces, be in New York, and make a cool film. It was really fun.”

Danny Dyer has said he is too old to take his shirt off for photoshoots.

The Football Factory actor told a UK newspaper of a recent shoot: “I’m 32, I’ve got to stop taking my top off for people, so I just showed a little bit of nipple and chest hair.

“Years ago I didn’t mind but you get older and you’ve got to have a bit of dignity. I’m a serious actor now and I’m not going to take my top off at the drop of a hat.”

Meanwhile, discussing his current projects, he said: “I’m doing a horror movie called The Basement. It’s a really dark and intense movie about a group of people who get locked in this basement and weird s**t starts happening.

“I’m doing a zombie horror movie called The Devil’s Playground with Craig Fairbrass and Steven Berkoff. Then another movie with Sean Bean called The Age Of Heroes, which is set in Dunkirk. I play a commando.”

Russell Brand has proposed to girlfriend Katy Perry, according to UK reports.

The Brit comedian popped the question to the I Kissed A Girl singer during a pre-Christmas get-together in the UK.

After happily accepting his proposal, Perry later jetted back to the US while Brand stayed in London.

Now reports claim the happy couple are set to tie the knot – once Brand has found her the perfect ring.

One source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Russell knows Katy’s the one for him.

“He’s never been into a girl like he has with her and they’re besotted. He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes.

“They don’t know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if their schedules can work.

“Russell is searching for a jewellery designer to make up a ring in time for New Year.

“Katy’s thrilled with Russell and how he is making so much effort. Russell also has the approval of Katy’s parents and everyone in the pair’s close circle know about the engagement.”

Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams managed to keep a major secret from the fans – she dated the band’s guitarist, Josh Farro, for 3 years! The former couple went their separate ways in 2007 but Hayley was afraid to let her fans know only because it would have been a big deal to everyone else. She explained “Really it was about us being in control of one aspect of our crazy lives. Being really young we were totally dumb and didn’t know what we were doing and we were, like, ‘Let’s just not tell anyone, let’s keep it a secret’… The question is whether, if people had known, our break-up would have been a big deal to other people. And I’m really thankful that no-one knew for that reason.”
