Susan Boyle Underwhelms
Susan Boyle really wants to win âBritainâs Got Talentâ because she keeps practicing nonstop. The finale takes place this Saturday and the singer has been practicing all day and night while staying at the Wembley Plaza Hotel in London where guest have complained about her constant singing until 2AM. All that practicing may have caused her a cold which we can all blame for her lacklustre semi-final performance of âMemoryâ from Andrew Lloyd Webberâs âCatsâ this past Sunday. After winning the public vote, Susan said âIt was totally unexpected â but Iâm feeling pretty good about the result. It was a pretty rocky start because to begin with I sort of had a croaky note. Thatâs because I had a cold. But I said to myself, âPick yourself up, keep going.ââ
No commentsAdam Lambert was Done a Favor
While most are calling Kris Allenâs win over Adam Lambert an American Idol upset and some are thinking that Kris was the right choice when it comes to the marketability, some are also saying that Adam was done a big favor by not being named the winner. Adam wonât be stuck singing the song âNo Boundariesâ for the next six months to a year. Considering that it was co-written by Kara DioGuardi,. Itâs pretty much a given that Adam is going to get a record deal. The challenge now is for him to make a great album that not only has his stamp but is also marketable.

No commentsKaty Perry Talks John Mayer
In a new interview with Popeater, Katy Perry talks about the odd facial expressions that John Mayer makes when heâs performing. The âI Kissed a Girlâ singer revealed âJohn Mayer said heâs trying to get rid of his “O” face. Oh, I think itâs sexy. Why would he try to get rid of something thatâs just so cool?â If Johnâs so-called O face is what Katy thinks to be sexy, then Iâm highly turned on by overweight plumbers who show their butt cracks as their fixing the leak under the kitchen sink. Johnâs facial expressions have been the center of some of my nightmares.
No commentsDanny Gokeyâs glory note
The American Idol contestant managed to redeem himself over the relative failure of the duet he did with Kris Allen by performing Aerosmithâs âDream Onâ. Apparently the key to the whole song was the final scream which Danny Gokey managed to nail very⌠luckily. In the rehearsals he does it cool and by the books, but during the performance, it apparently spirals out of proportion⌠which is good as far as the judges are concerned. Regardless of Simon Cowellâs comment on it and namely that it was like watching a horror movie, it seems Danny Gokey is safe for the time being. Now ainât that just peachy: a horror scream finally saving somebody for a change.
No commentsSimon Cowell plans to take Susan Boyle on US talent show
Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell is planning to take Susan Boyle on the American version of the show, he has revealed.
But Cowell, 49, said the Scottish singer will have to win the show before he offers her the chance in the US.
He said: “I would say to anybody who won the British show that we guarantee them a spot on the American show. I think that’s a great incentive. So if it is Susan, yes.”
Cowell, who also admitted he isn’t a fan of Boyle’s new makeover, said the singer will still need to work hard at the semi-finals.
He told British newspaper The Sun: “Susan has four weeks to prepare for the biggest night of her life. She has got to sing better than she ever sang before.”
