Acting put off for good – Kelly Clarkson

Singer Kelly Clarkson has promised herself that she will never attempt to make a big screen appearance that because her foray into acting was ‘awful’ and she does not want to repeat the act anytime again.
Kelly starred in the musical comedy From Justin to Kelly which she got to do as part of her winning the American Idol contest. Everyone who was the movie had something negative about the film be it her fans or critics and that has promoted her to give up the idea for good.
Speaking to Attitude magazine she says, “Oh it was a movie I had to do, and it was so horrible. Whoever won (American Idol) had to do it. I tried to get out of it legally, because I have no desire to be an actress. My favorite actresses are like Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett and I always hate when I go to movies and I think you just shouldn’t be an actress. It was horrible. I am a horrible actressâ€Â.
That’s really great attitude because most other actors would not care of what the audiences or critics would think all that matters to them is landing the role and getting hands on the money. She knows she does not fit in and accepts that with ease. I’m your new fans Kelly but please do not getting into acting just because I’ve praised you a little bit. Best stick to your music sweetie!
No commentsRihanna puts off Indonesia concert

This is a direct reflection of the events of the last week when Rihanna and Chris Brown both gave the Grammy Awards night a miss and subsequently the same night Chris was arrested on charges of domestic violence.
Now there is some kind of confirmation coming in that Rihanna has cancelled or if it sounds better this way then she has postponed her concert in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia for the second time which comes close on the heals of her postponing her Malaysian show.
This is a direct fallout of her fight with Chris Brown and ever since that episode she has not been seen in public or made any statement clearing her name from the ordeal. But her personal tragedy means huge losses for the promoters of the show in Indonesia.
There is great recession all over and promoters would have spent massive amounts on advertisements, TV promotion and production and its all down the drain now. Who’s going to pay for such loses the second time round?
No commentsFergie, Josh celebrate first V-Day as a married couple

Fergalicious and Josh Duhamel are still at it! This may seem like an extended honeymoon but the couple is actually headed towards an unknown destination last Friday to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. The two, who were spotted at the Los Angeles LAX Airport, tried their best to avoid the paparazzi and unceremoniously got down their Chevy Suburban several feet away from the entrance. The ruse failed though as evident with the shots. This may be their first V-Day as after the marriage but definitely not their first as a couple since Fergie admitted to celebrating V-Day in bed with rose petals with Josh one Valentine day before the “I dos”.
Fergie has previously admitted to her sensuality as may have already been proven by her husband Josh but do not expect any little Fergie or Josh in the near future because she has put her foot down on this. Having a baby at this time will only put on hold Fergie’s buzzing career and considering how many wannabees there are in Hollywood at any given time this would indeed be a foolish move for Fergie.
No commentsMiley Cyrus Apologizes Again

Miley Cyrus was involved in a photo controversy when some racially insensitive photos leaked online that showed the Disney star slanting her eyes and seemingly mocking Asian people. She then made a half-assed attempt at an apology a few days later. However, the Organization of Chinese Americans and several others didn’t buy into it and demanded a better apology. Miley has once again taken to her official fansite and posted another apology. She said “I want to thank all of my fans for their support not only this week, but always! I really wanted to stress how sorry I am if the photo of me with my friends offended anyone. I have learned a valuable lesson from this and know that sometime my actions can be unintentionally hurtful. I know everything is a part of GODs ultimate plan, and mistakes happen so that eventually I will become the woman he aspires me to be.â€Â

Just right on the heels of the announcement that Blink 182 will be reuniting to present an award at the Grammy Awards, details of a new Blink 182 record are slowly coming out to the mainstream. David Kennedy, the guitarist for Blink member Tom DeLonge’s side project, Angels & Airwaves, confirmed the bands future plans on the Angels & Airwaves message board this past Thursday. No commentsLily Allen too famous for the regular stuff

The singer recently told the press that she understands now what the “price of fame†is since she can’t do anymore daily things: “People say you pay the price of fame. There are some things I just can’t do anymore. Like when I’ve had sex, I can’t go to the sexual health clinic. I can’t go to a shop to get condoms – just regular daily stuff that’s gotten difficult.” Lily Allen really does talk about sex a lot doesn’t she? In the same interview she also mentioned Simon Cowell for some strange reason: “Over Christmas, I was kind of seeing this guy and then it was over. So I texted my godmother and told her. As a joke I said, ‘Maybe my next conquest should be Simon Cowell.’ But you know that thing where when someone is in your mind you accidentally text them? So I texted him that. He replied, ‘Sorry?’” how come Lily Allen even had Simon Cowell’s number if she didn’t have any plans with him… is it a public number? Can anyone have access to it?
Wrigley’s Suspends Chris Brown

If you remember, Chris Brown is actually a spokesperson for Wrigley’s Doublemint gum. After news broke out of his alleged assault on Rihanna, the company has all but completely dropped the 19-year old R&B crooner. They did not say if they will drop him completely but expressed a desire to wait and see how things turn out in the case. Their statement reads “Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.â€Â

Nick Carter Talks Drugs

Former Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter is back in his best shape after being diagnosed with a potentially fatal heart condition eight months ago. He was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a buildup of toxins in his heart, weakening the muscle so that it had difficulty pumping blood. The 29-year old healthy and sober singer told People about it saying “My doctor said, ‘You need to change your lifestyle. I don’t want you to end up like that.’ I was like, ‘I don’t want to end up like that either.’†He also said that he’s getting his life back on track saying “I’m trying to make myself better. But I don’t regret anything that I’ve gone through, because it makes me who I am.â€Â
The video for U2’s new single
“Get On Your Boots†has been directed by French film maker and artist Alex Courtes. Alex and former creative partner Martin Fougeral directed the Grammy winning video for “Vertigoâ€Â, and also directed the video for “City of Blinding Lightsâ€Â.
The video was shot in London and features the band performing against complex graphic art designed by Courtes.
Speaking of the song and the video, The Edge has said, “It’s based around the idea that men have f**ked things up so badly, politically, economically and socially, that it’s really time we handed things over to women. The finished video is brilliant. He’s really nailed it.”
“Get On Your Boots†is the first single from U2’s 12th studio album No Line On The Horizon, out 2nd March 2009.

No commentsFantasia Goes Back to School

American Idol season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino is making the smart decision to go back to school. Apparently, she wants to set a good example for her 7-year old daughter and 15-year old brother as she now plans to earn her degree after dropping out of high school in the 9th grade over a decade ago. The singer explained further saying “I’ve been talking about it for so long, I have a lot of young people who look up to me… It’s something that I really need to do and that I want to do.†I’m not sure if she’s the ideal role model but it’s a step in the right direction.
Jessica Simpson Breaks Down

It seems that the stress surrounding the criticism of Jessica Simpson’s curvier figure is affecting her mental well-being. The wannabe country singer had a public meltdown this past week during her concert in Grand Rapids. It all started when her boyfriend Tony Romo didn’t show up for her gig after missing his flight. During her set opening for Rascal Flatts, she said “I’m so excited, I get to see my boyfriend tomorrow. He’s the person who makes me relax.†She must have desperately needed him that night. During her performance of ‘With You’, she stopped singing during the middle of her song. During another song, she began having issues with her ear monitors and lost her place in several other songs. She even had to make her band start over again on one song and forgot the lyrics to ‘Come on Over’.

Snow Shoveling for community service irritates Kid Rock

Kid Rock is terribly irritated by the community service he has had to undertake as part of sentence for the 2007 Waffle House fight in Georgia met out to him by a judge. When he heard his sentence he pleaded with the judge that he is allowed to perform for the U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq but that request was immediately turned down.
He now claims that this is causing loss of thousands of dollars that he would usually raise for charity. He says, “There’s so many people in Michigan right now that are really hurting, especially charities, who are looking for money to do what they do. The place I’m working with now does a lot of work with children with terminal illnesses, so they’ve got me here stuffing envelopes and moving boxes and shoveling snow – that’s what the judge wants me to do… They’re sitting here, like, ‘Man, we wish you could raise us some money.’
Okay Kid, when you are down shoveling snow, put on that big charity show, if you can raise any amount of money that would help people then do what it takes. Maybe Kid Rock could save our nation’s financial system! GO KID GO!
