Too bad Katie Holmes

August 29th, 2008 | Category: Broadway, Celebrities, Katie Holmes, TV SHOW, Tom Cruise

Looks like Tom’s career is not the only one going down.
Producers for Broadway’s All My Sons were hoping that having a big name celebrity in the show will help boost tickets sales, much like what Mario Lopez in A Chorus Line and Clay Aiken in Spamalot did.
According to news reports, ticket sales for Katie’s Broadway debut was far from what the producers expected. Producers are blaming the low ticket sales on Katie’s Dawson Creek days.
A unnamed source claims that “It’s not that Katie’s bad in the part. She’s good enough. The producers are just getting the feeling people still want to view Katie as sweet little Joey Potter.”
Like we would believe that; that show’s ancient history!
Jackie Green, a publicist “That information is totally false. There is a healthy advance for the show, and there is no chance of the run being shortened.”
Whatever. Don’t cover up for her.

Aubrey Talks Love

August 28th, 2008 | Category: Aubrey O’Day, Danity Kane, Lindsay Lohan, Love

If you want to know how to get some attention, just ask Danity Kane attention whore Aubrey O’Day. I guess she got wind of how much attention Lindsay Lohan’s been getting when it comes to being gay as she told Broadway.com “At this point in my life I wouldn’t say one way or another what my preference is sexually. The only thing I’m looking for in life is incredible passion and honest love, and if that’s with a girl, a guy, a guy that dresses like a girl, a girl that dresses like a guy, whatever the options are on the table, all I really operate on is the way I feel in my heart when it comes to love.” It’s either you’re gay or you’re not. There’s nothing in the middle. Unless of course you can say that you’re bisexual.

Officer Jonas

August 28th, 2008 | Category: Jonas Brothers, Movies

Hello Officer! Joe Jonas of the latest boy band sensation the Jonas Brothers popped some bubble gum in his mouth while dressed as an NYPD officer around New York City’s Columbus Circle last week. The almost 19-year old cutie directed traffic as he shot a new scene for the group’s 3D concert movie which will premiere on February 22, 2009. In another scene, Joe pretended to arrest someone and even slapped on a set of handcuffs on another cast member. Why does Joe play the mustache-sporting cop in all their videos? First the ‘Burning Up’ music video and now this. Maybe it’s some weird fascination of his.

McAvoy and Blunt will play two star-crossed (lovers) gnomes, whose love for each other is complicated by the fact that they’re from opposite sides of the veggie patch.
The Juliet was originally offered to Kate Winslet but she was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
The film’s producers originally planned and hoped for lyricist Tim Rice (The Lion King) team up who teamed with Sir Elton to write original tunes for Gnomeo. Instead, it looks like the film will mainly feature a number of Elton John’s classic songs. Rumors claim that some the songs to be used are “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” “Sad Songs” or “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues”. Vanessa Hudgens Gets No Love

August 25th, 2008 | Category: American Idol, Disney, Vanessa Hudgens

There’s something wrong going in your life when you’re booked to perform at a country fair with a load of American Idol rejects. Vanessa Hudgens needs to rethink a couple of things. Visitors to the Midland County Fair in Michigan were treated to the sites of Vanessa, former Disney star Raven Symone and American Idol alum Bucky Covington. Vanessa sang a few songs from the HSM soundtrack. According to reports, Vanessa also “displayed dance routines more adult in nature than the audience of mainly girls 10 and younger.” At the beginning of her set, Vanessa said, “This is me, on my own terms.” Apparently, her terms suck. A concertgoer says Raven was better saying “She was really funny, talking to us about her childhood. Vanessa was more into singing, but she wasn’t funny. She was really serious, and we could see her get all sweaty, too.”

Solange Knowles high

August 18th, 2008 | Category: Destiny's Child, Singer, Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles claims people always think she is “high”.

The singer - the younger sister of former Destiny’s Child singer Beyonce - says her energy levels and sporadic speech patterns make people think she is on drugs. She said: “People think I’m high even when I’m sober.”

Solange also said she sometimes tells people silly lies to try to make them laugh.

She added: “I tell lies. Not proper lies, just little lies. I started telling them - jokes I should call them - when I was very young. I’ve always had a sense of humour but people haven’t always shared it.”

Solange recently revealed she has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), but refused to accept what she was told by her first doctor so went for a second opinion.

She said: “I was diagnosed with ADD twice. I didn’t believe the first doctor who told me and I had a whole theory that ADD was just something they invented to make you pay for medicine but then the second doctor told me I had it. I guess I was in denial. I don’t understand exactly what it is. The symptoms seem to apply to everyone around me in the industry - loss of memory, starting something and not finishing it.”

August 15th, 2008 | Category: Concert Gig, Madonna

Madonna has asked Givenchy to design outfits for her upcoming world tour. The French fashion house has confirmed its head designer Ricardo Tisci will be creating Madonna’s wardrobe for her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ shows.

Givenchy spokeswoman Caroline Deroche-Pasquier revealed Givenchy Haute Couture has made the 49-year-old pop superstar two outfits.

It is believed Madonna will wear one of the Givenchy ensembles when she opens the show.

Tisci, who is renowned for his gothic influence and use of dark fabrics, is delighted to be working with Madonna.

He said: “I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to offer the world of Givenchy Haute Couture to Madonna the Icon, the Artist, the Woman for whom I have so much respect and admiration.”

The first outfit - said to have a ‘Gangster Pimp’ influence - features a black satin coat trimmed with jet beads and a black satin waistcoat with a corseted back.

Tisci’s second creation - which has a ‘Gypsy’ theme - consists of a long hooded taffeta cape with a fuchsia lining and a black dress with multi-coloured ribbons and pink metal chains.

Another day in Hollywood can only mean another celebrity gets divorced. But in a slightly different twist, I won’t bother telling you the gruesome details of divorce papers because this celebrity is already divorced. The Dixie Chicks’ Emily Robinson and her Bandera cowboy rocker hubby Charlie Robinson are over. They’re not separated or just getting divorced, it’s already a done deal. A rep says that they remain close friends and that their family is the priority and will continue to be. The divorce filing states that their marriage had become “insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.” The couple was married back in 1999 and they have 3 children together.

No Puerto Rican Idols

August 10th, 2008 | Category: American Idol, TV SHOW

If you said you were having American Idol auditions, you would expect a lot of people to show up right? In the case of Puerto Rico, forget it. American Idol held one of their typical open call auditions in San Juan, Puerto Rico recently and instead of the usual capacity crowds that line up practicing their awful renditions of tired Whitney Houston standards, El Nuevo Dia reports that only around 300 hopeful fool turned out. In contrast, 7,000 wannabes camped out overnight at auditions held in Northern California last month. In other words, don’t expect any of the current American Idol champs to come out with any Spanish-language albums anytime soon.
