Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are planning a ‘trial marriage’.

The couple – who have been dating for three months – are said to be keen to test the strength of their relationship, and think John moving into Jennifer’s house is the perfect first step.

A source said: “John wants to settle down as much as Jennifer does. What’s more, he’s been telling her that he thinks she is the one and she believes him.”

John’s move into Jennifer’s Beverly Hills mansion is set to happen after his tour ends in September.

The couple are also reportedly planning a family.

The source added: “John is the first guy since Brad who has talked seriously about having children and Jennifer is very excited about it.”

Jennifer was previously married to Brad Pitt for five years. They separated in 2005 amid allegations he was cheating on her with actress Angelina Jolie, with who he now has six children.

Jessica Simpson’s new boyfriend Tony Romo has restored her self-confidence.

Jessica, who was left heartbroken after her divorce from Nick Lachey in 2006, decided to release a country album following encouragement from her American football star lover.

A source said: “Tony tells Jessica not to let life pass her by.”

The 28-year-old ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ actress – who starred as hotpant wearing Daisy Duke in the 2005 movie – is also feeling more comfortable with her body since she began dating Tony, also 28, last year.

The source added: “Tony is also the first to boost Jess about her body! Jessica admits she has packed on a few pounds but she doesn’t care. She is loving life and isn’t trying to be Daisy Duke. Besides, if Tony loves the way she looks, who is anyone else to complain?”

Jessica recently revealed she is in love with Tony but isn’t sure if she is ready to tie the knot with him just yet.

She said: “We’ve been together for seven to almost eight months now. I don’t really know about wedding bells – I still love him, and I’m still with him, so that’s a good sign.”

Lindsay Lohan is over the moon because her mum has finally given her blessing to the lesbian relationship between Li-Lo and Sam Ronson.

Lindsay has been dating Sam, sister of uber-producer Mark, for several months. But until now Dina Lohan has been dodging questions about the couple.

Now though, Dina admits that Sam is great for her daughter. When asked if she approved of the relationship, Dina said: “I love Samantha. As long as my daughter is happy and healthy, it is what it is.”

Lindsay is said to be thrilled at her mum’s turnaround. A source close to DJ Sam said: “Lindsay is blissfully happy with Sam but hearing her mum give her approval is the cherry on the cake. She realises now that her mum was hesitant because she thought Sam might break her heart. But Dina has really warmed to Sam, and she can see how well Lindsay is right now. She is supportive of her – and Lindsay is over the moon.”

Lindsay and Sam have also bought each other matching ‘infinity’ bracelets and necklaces.

The pair each have a Jules Smith Infinity Lock bracelet. They also both have anchor necklaces as a symbol of how they are each other’s ‘anchor’.

Star magazine is reporting that Diddy has proposed to his girlfriend, singer Cassie. A source told the magazine “He told everyone to keep it extremely quiet because he didn’t want it to get out, but you could tell he was excited. Diddy said they hadn’t set a date yet, but he wanted his family to hear the news first.” The couple met after Diddy signed Cassie to his label back in 2006. She’s 17 years younger than the music mogul. I don’t think this story is true though. I don’t see the father of six as the type to really settle down.

Rap superstar  and MTV VJ Sway Calloway recently gave three young war vets who just returned from Iraq the surprise of their lives. The duo dropped in unexpectedly at the homes of the vets to listen to the soldiers’ stories and express some gratitude for their service to the country. MTV was there to capture it all on film. You can see the powerful, moving moments from the visits on MTV on July 28th. Apart from listening to the soldiers, on behalf of MTV and the Dr. Donda West Foundation, the duo gave each vet a life-changing gift from paying off their debts to taking care of their rent on tuition.

Amy Winehouse may just go stir crazy with this bit of news. She’s going to be without her hubby for a good while as Blake Fielder Civil was sentenced to 27 months in jail on Monday. The druggie was convicted of trying to pervert the course of justice in the great bodily harm case against him which stemmed from a bar incident where he beat the crap out of a pub owner a while back. Maybe I should take back the Wino statement. She didn’t seem to care about her hubby since she wasn’t even present during the sentencing. I’m willing to bet that she was probably with Pete Doherty.

Last month, Avril’s hardcore fans were on a mission to make her video for the song ‘Girlfriend’ the most played ever on YouTube. As of Friday morning, Team Avril has gained the #1 spot from the ‘Evolution of Dance’ video. The fans are using a shady tactic which uses links to play the video continuously as long as the computer is open. YouTube has a policy to remove videos from the most played section if they discover that their view count system has been gamed yet they aren’t doing anything. It’s being said that YouTube is turning a blind eye to Avril’s cheating ways because the site is making advertising money off the fake views. Apparently, there’s a $2 million check waiting for her for all her YouTube plays. Avril’s getting money and it’s not even earned legit!

It looks like Rihanna has some competition for the title of Queen for this summer as Katy Perry has done it again by topping the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth week in a row! The singer’s monster single ‘I Kissed a Girl’ is once again the number 1 song in America. The Barbadian singing sensation isn’t too far behind though as Rihanna’s ‘Take a Bow’ is hot on Katy’s heels at the number two spot. Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me on who’s going to rule the charts this summer. It’s pretty obvious that either of the girls is going to be it.

I guess Eva Longoria is a big Rhianna fan because she wants to be her apparently.  She showed up recently with a new short bob do.

All I can say, is no, no, no.  She looks so much older, if you ask me.  Who is she really trying to be?  Katie Holmes?  Maybe this is part of a secret plot to steal Tom Cruise away.  Maybe Tony Parker wants to be Tom Cruise?

Amy Winehouse’s dad collapsed after the strain of looking after his troubled daughter took its toll.

Mitch Winehouse dedicated himself to looking after Amy two weeks ago, after she discharged herself from hospital where she was being treated for lung problems, but the stress of being her full-time carer triggered panic attacks.

Mitch revealed: “I am awaiting the results of tests. I’m going away for a few days and we will see what happens after that.”

A friend of taxi driver Mitch said: “He isn’t well. He has been taking a lot on and has been dedicating himself to trying to improve Amy’s health. But his own health has suffered as a result. He has been having stress-related panic attacks and collapsed at home last week.”

Amy was diagnosed with the early symptoms of lung condition emphysema when she was hospitalized last month. Mitch has attempted to curb her wild partying – in particular her smoking and drug taking – even making a televised plea to her friends to stop giving her drugs and cigarettes. He insists even one cigarette was putting his daughter’s already damaged lungs in serious danger.

Mel B “definitely” wants children with husband Stephen Belafonte.

The former Spice Girl – who has a nine-year-old daughter Phoenix with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar and a 15-month-old daughter Angel with actor Eddie Murphy – is keen to expand her family even further with movie producer Stephen.

She said: “Yeah, we definitely want children. Not just yet – I think in a few years, definitely.”

Mel also revealed she thinks the secret to a happy marriage is being good friends with your spouse. She added: “I think marriage agrees with me – I’m happy all the time! We’re the best of friends, which I think is one of the most important things in a successful marriage.”

However, Mel said Stephen’s surprise present for their one-year wedding anniversary backfired when she injured herself.

She said: “You know what, my husband organized a helicopter and this beautiful restaurant, but I actually got a trapped nerve in my hip, so I ended up staying and relaxing at the hotel! But we celebrated the next day with the helicopter and the lovely restaurant.”

Lenny Kravitz was so pissed off that his long time manager Guy Oseary was getting his clients Madonna and New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez so entangled in their current mess, that he fired him. According to the New York Post, that sudden decision that Lenny made to terminate Oseary was the reason the rocker got dragged into the fray. Lenny was rumored to have had an affair with A-Rod’s wife Cynthia. According to Cynthia’s pal Dodd Romero, they were all together on Lenny’s tour bus when the news about his and Cynthia broke. Dodd says “Lenny looked like he was going to throw up. Lenny said ‘I worked so hard to clean up my image and now… this.’”

Coldplay front man Chris Martin recently spoke to Blender magazine. He talks about an interesting topic during the sit down where he rants on about changing diapers. He says “Men should always change diapers. It’s a very rewarding experience. It’s mentally cleansing. It’s like washing dishes, but imagine if the dishes were your kids, so you really love the dishes.” He should just come out with it straight, wife Gwyneth is putting him to work and he’s forced into loving what he’s doing. Who the heck compares their kids to the dishes anyway? He’s got a warped sense of child care if you ask me.

The Jonas Brothers performed at the HMV music store on Oxford Street in London on Friday. The band of brothers recently took to their blog about their experience at the store. They said “It was fun to see the people from the label there with their mouths wide open and their hands over their ears. The shouts were so loud. We signed for 300 people that waited in line. They told us that there were a lot of people that had been in line since the day before. The wristbands were gone in 30 minutes. As we were leaving there was a group of girls running after our vehicles. It will never grow old to us to see hundreds of screaming fans chasing our car AND the looks on the faces of people when our fans come around the corner running after our cars screaming.

Miley Cyrus is featured on the cover of the new issue of Billboard. She talks about a lot of things like Vanity Fair, fans being shut out of her last tour, Hannah Montana, acting in a flick not related to Disney or Hannah Montana, on being a role model, but the most interesting part for me was when she talked about her new album and her songwriting. She says “It’s grown-up. I wrote all the songs except two… I wrote my first song when I was probably 7–it was called ‘Pink.’ That shows what kind of song it was about—it’s about the color pink. But you know what, darn it, I wrote it and I’ve been writing since I was my little sister’s age.” She tries so hard to be an artist.

Enrique Iglesias has finally confirmed what we have all been speculating for a long time. The Latino singer has revealed to the British media that he was secretly married to former tennis star Anna Kournikova but that they are now divorced. He said “Oh I’m not married, no. I mean I was married. I was married, seriously. I was married a year ago to Anna and I don’t know what happened. We’re not married anymore but we are kind of still in contact.” It’s not really earth-shattering news but it should at least give some minds the peace they’ve all been looking for.

Lily Allen fought back the tears during her appearance at Glastonbury this weekend, taking to the stage just hours after her beloved grandmother passed away.

Allen’s appearance was put into jeopardy following the terrible news that Nana Allen – mother of Lily’s actor father Keith- had passed away on Saturday evening. But Allen surprised organisers by keeping her promise to sing at the festival and appeared in an emotional state as she took to the stage.

Joining Mark Ronson to perform Littlest Things, a visibly moved Lily said: “My Nana Allen died last night. This is for Nana Allen. I love you.”

She clutched copies of her lyrics and explained she had forgotten them.

Justin Timberlake says he suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The 27-year-old singer has revealed the condition affects many parts of his daily life – right down to making sure objects are always lined up perfectly.

Justin, who also claims he has Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), is quoted by website Collider.com as saying: “I have OCD mixed with ADD. You try living with that. It’s complicated.”

OCD – which David Beckham, Jessica Alba and Cameron Diaz have all admitted to suffering from – is a psychiatric anxiety disorder often characterised by obsessive thoughts, compulsions or rituals.

ADD is a developmental disorder, and suffers often complain of forgetfulness, distractibility and hyperactivity. Justin has also admitted he is “addicted” to performing live, and gets a thrill out of entertaining arenas packed with his fans.

He explained: “I get butterflies. You just kind of get caught up in the electricity of it. Oh, yeah, that still happens to this day. And when that stops happening, you should stop. It’s addictive, you know what I mean?”

Mariah Carey’s marriage won’t last more than six months, according to friends. The 38-year-old singer, who wed rapper Nick Cannon in April, is so demanding her new husband won’t be able to cope with her diva-like behaviour.

One pal close to Mariah revealed 27-year-old Nick has become a source of ridicule for her friends and associates.

The source said: “I give the marriage six months, tops. I can’t see it lasting. Nick does whatever Mariah wants him to – he’s like her puppy. It seems like he spends more time in the stores with Mariah’s credit card than he does with Mariah herself. Mariah’s assistants and friends call him ‘Whipped Nick’ behind his back. They have little respect for him because he won’t stand up for himself.”

However, a friend of Nick’s has vehemently denied the relationship is already in trouble, insisting Nick and Mariah are perfect for each other. The pal said: “Mariah needs someone to dote on her.”

It isn’t due in theaters until October, but they are starting to leak out photos and info about High School Musical 3:  Senior Year.

Most of the original cast members are back and are celebrating senior year, with the all important prom.  Gabriella and Troy are as in love as ever, both on and off screen.

Hmm, sounds like a winner to me….but you know, it’ll be a box office smash because all the kids’ll be there.
